Neither, it's generally like sex at any other time, just need a dark towel underneath and be more careful of mess.

I love sex during my period. Others have mentioned the joys of cramp relief, headache relief and the emotional smoothing out that sex can have. My Love also often gives me a massage right over my uterus (between my lower belly and my mons) which can make me come again after sex and also relieves cramps at other times. We just take a shower afterwards. Actually, when my Love and my mistress first had sex, she was nervous and shy because she had just started her period, but my Love and I didn't care. She had never had a lover who was fine with sex during moontime before. Occasionally I will go down on her during her period too, though I've never had anyone do it to me. As to the term Moontime... since so many like it.. or are curious...

"Moontime" is a Native term, because as women our cycles are ruled by the moon cycles. Technicaly if you are "in tune" to the cycles of the moon and thereby sea even you are supposed to start your menses on Darkmoon. ( New moon) This way durring the Full moon and Waxing phases you will be fertile. Wonderful how nature works. Living in groups of women however will tend to throw that off at times, and they tend to cycle together.. the pheromone scent each casts off gets them in line, and who evers scent is dominant then thats who's cycle every one falls in line with. Conveinent since in tribal society the women all went off to a "Moon Lodge" to cycle together. The men would tend the children, hunt, cook and do the chores durring that time. Leaving food and gifts at the entrance to the Moon Lodge for the women of the tribe. ( prob. backing away slowly LOL) Imagine hanging out with all your girlfriends and sisters while the men feed you and leave you the hell alone. You get a week off from all chores, and just get to chill. Sounds nice eh?
The ability to bleed for 7 days and not die was well revered.

While I've always said that I wish women celebrated and took strength from their femininity, including menstruation, rather than giving into the "curse" they've been conditioned to believe it is...I don't think going the way of "getting out of chores" is really the way to do it- unless women are also willing to let men do the same thing.

It was a nice side effect, and a way to show reverance to the women in the tribe. Now mind you in the Moon Lodge the women worked on special projects together.. and did thier sewing and beadwork durring that time as well as spiritual work... so it wasnt all bonbons and girl gossip. You were basicaly seen as in a higher spiritual state so you were given time to attend to more important things.

Personaly I would love a week off each month to meditate, work on projects, and do spiritual work. I would get a lot more done.

The fact that we can hold life it's self within us is such a miracle I have always had a problem seeing menstration as a curse some see it as so I am with you on that whole heartedly.
