bischoolgirl19 -> slave's rights (7/28/2005 3:27:10 PM)

Just a general question, don't shoot me for it. I've only been on here a while,and i'm fairly new to the lifestyle, but many of the masters that have approached me have asked me to not further my education (not go to university, even though i was accepted to many). Is this standard or is it a personal style thing and i've just been getting all the same personality type?

Lordandmaster -> RE: slave's rights (7/28/2005 3:28:48 PM)

You've been talking to dumasses. Welcome to the internet.

bischoolgirl19 -> RE: slave's rights (7/28/2005 3:33:58 PM)

in addition, maybe i am way off base and a little brash in saying that a master should want an intelligent slave? Without an active mind, all they would be is a blow up doll that talks dirty. Also, wouldn't it be best for both Dom and slave if they both knew tat if something happened to either of them that icapacitated thier flow of money, that the slave, if not already, could earn a decent wage?

Kinkypupper -> RE: slave's rights (7/28/2005 3:34:23 PM)

That makes no sence unless you are such a "catch" that they want you to be kpet ignorant about how ignorant THEY are.

ALL knowledge is good. We grow from its learning and we change as our experiances change. But there is nothing wrong with that.

To keep a small bird in its nest may be fulfilling to the parents sence of safety and protection but to cast them out and to see them soar and fly is every parents dream.

Ask questions, propose ideas, learn how foolish those others really are.

Padriag -> RE: slave's rights (7/28/2005 3:37:52 PM)

LaM has a point. [:D] There is no "standard" that says a submissive or a slave should not have an education. It could be considered a personal style thing. I won't speculate on why someone wouldn't want a slave to finish her education. But speaking for myself, there are those of us who very much prefer slaves who are educated, have hobbies and personal interests, etc. So yes, apparently you've been getting the same "personality type" as you put it. As a suggestion, if you prefer a different kind of personality type in a dom, browse around and look for them and don't be afraid to approach them first. You'd likely get a very warm reception, us doms don't get approached anywhere near as much as you submissives. I'd also suggest you take the time to form some kind of friendship first and get to know them a little. A friendship in the beginning doesn't mean it can't progress to something else later.

Best of luck!

Those who are reading my post: i had this up for no longer than 20 minutes and i've recieved 5 or 6 messages on my account telling me to suck it up and not question masters wishes. I am simply asking a question, and if you have a problem with that, then please don't message me at all. I'm obviously not your type.

Niran -> RE: slave's rights (7/28/2005 4:13:23 PM)

Your education is vital to your success in life outside the bedroom. You finish that, and dont ever let anyone keep you from it.

*edit for typo-and dont sneeze and type. LOL*

I don't know who these jerks are, but I personally view it as cowardice that rather than post their opinions out in the open in the forum they choose to email her privately. She has every right to ask questions here, as does any other submissive, that is what the forum is for. To the screwballs who wrote those emails, here's $2, buy a clue. You don't own her, you have no right order her about and you're "wishes" don't amount to a pile of shit. Got a problem with that... feel free to take it up with me, you'll find I'm no easy mark for your rhetoric and bullying.

ChainedAngel -> RE: slave's rights (7/28/2005 4:57:27 PM)

Maybe these idiots that keep emailing you about not finishing your schooling just want to look smarter compared to you and know that will never happen if you keep learning. Of course, asking you to stop educating yourself makes them look stupid anyway.....

As for the cowards emailing you privately and ripping into you, they are just that; COMPLETE COWARDS. Write them off as temporary blips of cheap entertainment, get a giggle or two out of them, and ignore them.

blackwolf99 -> RE: slave's rights (7/28/2005 5:01:44 PM)

Thats insane!
Ok first off this is a consenual lifestyle. If someone wants you to do anything that you do not want to do, warning bell should be going off in your head. If they force you (totally against your will) it is abuse.

Who in there right mind would not want an educated submissive.

There is a magic button in your mail box called " BLOCK SENDER" I highly recommend your using it. Someone is trying to take advantage of your youth and (assumption, so forgive me if wrong) inexperience.

Wish that you were allowed to post that persons name here.I think more than just myself would like to send that person a messages regarding his (mis)behavior

EmeraldSlave2 -> RE: slave's rights (7/28/2005 6:16:53 PM)

You're new young fresh meat, people will try and feed you anything to make them do what they want.

If it sounds wrong to you, it is wrong for you. Those guys might be the dream dominant for someone else, but it's not for you. Let them know and move on.

What you say no to today could be what you beg for in 6 months...but right now, just explore and keep your sense of self strong.

I will say this for the one zillionth time..... If they are not your Dom/Master, then they have no control over you. So....they have no right to tell you to suck it up....or to obey.

A D/s relationship is intended to make BOTH parties happy. Giving up your education will only make HIM happy. Hold out for what you want. I guarantee that there is a Dom/Master out there that will absolutely love what you bring to the table.

Please, whatever you do, don't give up your education. It's very difficult to go back later.

perfection20005 -> RE: slave's rights (7/28/2005 8:25:03 PM)

I would question anyone who didn't or wouldn't let me finish my education. I think you have been hearing from ignorant people!

perverseangelic -> RE: slave's rights (7/28/2005 9:15:50 PM)

Odd mood. Please forgive.

Point the first-- you are NOT theirs untill you've agreed to be theirs.

Point the second-- there isn't a hard and fast rule on either side. No one "should' prefer anything. It's so individualized that I figure it's just what the person wants.

Point the third-- on a personal level, I wouldn't belong to someone who didn't want me to learn everything I could, formally or not.

Point the fourth-- I can understand why someone would prefer his/her property to stop school. Some people don't relaly like college and are only there to get a degree so they can make a living. If you plan on providing for your property, well, there's no reason for them to continue something they don't want to do.

Lass, every Master I know who is in my estimate a genuine Master, will place the well being of their sub/slaves first. This includes her health (Physical and Mental) and of course her education, which includes additional training or courses required for her occupation….

These "Doms" or "Masters" are twits. Don't worry they aren't worth your time.

All very true! Well worth listnening to.

Even if someone is wanting you to be theirs 24/7 and has the means to support you, what guarentees are there for the future? Couples split up, people die, situations change.

What is guarenteed, is if you complete your education, you will be better placed to get a good job.

As for those people emailing you, in my experience people who make such statements, (especially when they do not know you or your needs, wants, aspirations and circumstances), are 'cyber doms'. That is they live the life on a computer and have very little, if any, real experience.

Take your time and you'll find the right person for you, without having lost anything important.

darkinshadows -> RE: slave's rights (7/29/2005 6:19:40 AM)

I think you already know the answer - they are wrong.

You have to be able to look after yourself before you submit to someones will so they can 'look after you'.

What you are doing is being aware of the circumstances that can arise in the future. Finishing college or uni is a vital step. If the Master was your specific Master, then yes - you submitted then so you must do as you have been told - but I would expect that most Dominants would desire you to be fulfilled... and would want what is best for you, to assist you in achieving your potential.

Oh, and ignore those that would tell you what to do - or that your wrong...

Peace and Love

plantlady64 -> RE: slave's rights (7/29/2005 7:04:46 AM)

Hello There,
It sounds to me like you've got Doms who feel threatened by not only your independant thinking, but by your ability to increase your personal repertoire, and you ability to stand on your own two feet. It seems like they feel if they can keep you out of school you'll have to depend on them more.
I would be hearing warning bells and whistles if I was you.
Sincerely,
sub suzanne
