cyberdude611 -> US budget deficit shrinks to $163 billion (10/11/2007 2:45:06 PM)

The declining value of the dollar has lead to a increase in US exports, increased revenue, and a falling budget and trade deficit.

Yeah, we'll make it up in volume!

So, we're still practicing Fiscal Irresponsibility, eh?

Too bad people don't wanna hang Bush for the lies he told about being a Conservative, eh?

Just wait... Dems like Charlie Rangel want to eliminate taxes for the lower and middle class which will eliminate over $1 trillion in federal revenue. Yeah, that might get some votes from the poor but he doesn't seem to have any idea where the government is going to make $1 trillion dollars in budget cuts. That right there is more than twice the Pentagon budget. This while they also want to put in a trillion dollar universal healthcare system.

Apparently their only solution is not to cut the budget but to increase taxes on businesses, corporations, and the upper class while EXPANDING government.

I mean Rangel is getting very close to be looking like a communist. All he has to do is support redistribution of wealth.......

At least Rangel isn't a piece-of-shit LIAR like Bush, with all his horseshit about being a Conservative, and all the Piece-of-Shit Party Whores who support the piece-of-shit, isn't it?

BUSH == Biggest Debt EVER.

How fucking loud did you whine when they suggested to pull the Pentagon budget?

I think you got is ass backwards,kid.

The communist payed the highest taxes  the world history,ever.

So eliminating taxes on the poor and middle class,would kinda be the opposite of that.Ok?

Hey,kid,where did you hear Charlie Rangold say that,anyway?

Got a link? Or did Rush just say that?

I thought I heard- teh total wealth would not be enough to cover Social Security for one year.  Tho I suppose they can print more.

Everything's bigger, farglebargle. There are more people, so there are more ice cream cones sold. Numbers themselves don't mean much unless you also apply a certain amount of common sense when reading them.

Common Sense == DEBT IS BAD.

So, while talking about a SMALLER BUDGET SHORTFALL, I wonder why the discussion isn't WTF ARE WE DOING SPENDING MONEY WE DON'T HAVE???

OrionTheWolf -> RE: US budget deficit shrinks to $163 billion (10/12/2007 11:51:01 AM)

I wouldn't hang him but I would rather he have left the republican party, than me. Then again there had been a big movement of the Non-cons going on for a while. On a political discussion board, I even mentioned that group should be called the Imperial party.

I am more in line with the Ron Paul camp concerning alot of this now. We need to pull all resources and attention back home. Once our country is stable, only then should we go about trying to do anything else in the world.

With the money we could save, we could fund many projects to bring manufacturing back into the US. We could create incentives for small manufacturers to actually compete again. We could address the issue of the mega corp not having any loyalty to any country, specifically ours. Would we maybe slip out of number 1 or 2, as far as a "world power" goes? Maybe, but is it more important as to where we rank, or how stable the country is?

None of this is going to happen, on either side. If it does, it will likely be a little too late. All of this would take a swift kick in the ass to all the politicians. This means all of them, but we still have political cheerleaders on both sides cheering on their team, regardless of the damage it does to the country.
