cut and pasted from my journal this question gets asked a lot on the boards"what does a collar mean to you"to me it means exactly the same thing as a wedding ring. It goes on once and only intolerable cruelty or infidelity would cause it to be removed. Just as i believe one marries for life, one collars for life. Infact i would go as far as to say i would no sooner place a collar on my neck as i would a ring on my finger - and if i am granted my desire in this, that i would not take a collar until i am also given a wedding ring. A marriage is a partnership between two people, who bind themselves together in a relationship of love, care, security and support for the rest of their life. As husband and wife you carve yourselves a place in the world together and protect eachother from the hardships of life as best you can. Marriage is forged for a lifetime, marriage is not easy and i have almost no respect for those who treat a marriage as something disposable. I have watched my parents struggle and fight for their marriage, they have worked hard to maintain a happy and healthy marriage for more than 40 years and that is exactly as it should be. A collar is the ring for the other side of the relationship, the collar is the Ms wedding ring. As fro those poeple that wander around with a collar dangling from their finger tips to play hoopla with the nearest submissive ....What kind of woman would you get if you walked around a bar offering a wedding ring to any girl who would take it?
