I believe, and Gloria will correct me if I am mistaken, but what she means is that wisdom is gained from experience - so - if you had been to the moon and found it was made of cheese to yourself - then that is wisdom. Wisdom isn't the fact that it might be cheese - but that it is cheese - to you. urgh - typos(reason for edit) I would also add that I was explained to (which makes perfect sense to me) that the difference between intellect and wisdom is the compassion. Intellect shows no compassion, just cold, hard facts. But these facts are black and white, whereas wisdom understands the shades of grey.... Peace and Love

LOL It's almost a tragedy that when we are in our prime we are also still in the process of figuring out what really matters. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have all that energy and be able to focus it with experience? But I guess it's necessary for it to be that way so when we get ourselves in hot water, we have the reserves to pull ourselves out quickly before we get burned. anthrosub

My point was that experience alone doesn't magically sprout wisdom. I know people who keep making the same stupid mistakes over and over and they don't even realize they're doing it. They have lots of life experience but they lack the self awareness to see the destructive patterns they create. These people have oddles of experience, but precious little wisdom.
