ORIGINAL: TwistedLady I don't think you're being rude at all. Advice is what I want! Since the low fat/low calorie snacks aren't as healthy as I previously thought, what would you all recommend I have the little ones eat? They come home half starved from school. I've tried apples, oranges, all kinds of fruits. And they end up ruining because they aren't eaten. Edit to add: You folks are fast! You got your replies posted quicker than I could get mine done, heh. divi's idea of celery and other veggies, mixed with ranch dressing (I'd use one like Ken's 1 Carb, which is full fat, or the South Beach one, which tastes "off" to me, or homemade mayo or Hellmans mayo), and nut butters. Nuts themselves make a good snack, but watch your portion sizes. And Rush makes a good point; eventually, the kids will start eating the healthy food, especially if that's all there is. Trust me, they won't go hungry [:D] Kudos to you, TwistedLady, for making an effort on you and your family's behalf, to be healthy.
