Asking what sex has to do with BDSM is like sitting in a fancy resturant and asking "what does food have to do with it." The fact that an individual may claim to go to resturants "only to look at the silverware" doesn't mean food isn't involved.

Saying that "sex isn't necessarily involved with BDSM" is like saying "sleep isn't involved with dreams." The fact that some people don't remember their dreams doesn't mean that sleep has no involvement with that phenomenon.

The fact that some people repress sexual matters in some area doesn't mean the sexual matters don't exist in those areas.

The fact that some people use a private dictionary to redefine "sex" doesn't mean their definition is real. (I recall some people who had redefined "sex" as "orgasm" and since they didn't push bdsm activities to "orgasm" repeatedly and with great vigor denied that "sex" had anything necessarily to do with bdsm.)

BDSM without sex[ual intercourse]
Is like pizza without cheese.

That doesn't mean I have sex everytime I play sometimes it is a delayed pleasure.

Responding to the other part - what does sex (gender) have to do with it? Nothing, and everything.

I've not done scenes with another Dom, but I'm open to doing them with either gender.  And I don't mind single-serving domination over either gender.  I won't take female subs though, because I prefer to spend the majority of my time in the company of men.
