How much time and preparation do you guys take to get ready to look good for your Master? A few minutes? A half hour?

Not for "scenes" but for the day, on a typical day wanting to look good or dress to please your Master.

It takes me about thirty minutes from showered to dressed (if I don't need to shave).

There was a thread about this on another forum a while back and people were talking about how it made them feel spending the day before they were to visit with their Master preparing by going to get their hair done, along with manicure, pedicure. I do remember those days...getting ready...trying to remember to pack everything and the anticipation :)

I suspect your responses will vary greatly depending on whether or not someone lives with their Master.

best regards,
fate

Makes sense.

Thirty minutes? I guess the outfits take time to put on and hair and makeup and all?

I agree with fate on this one. About 30 minutes for me, unless the shaving is involved, then add another 15 on top of that!

What all goes into preparation for your ladies? Anything more than a normal woman getting dressed? OR more, in order to please the Master?

15-30 minutes - wow. if there is no shaving involved and if i have already done my hair - washed, dried, straightened and then curled (i know, it's not supposed to make sense) and then makeup and dressing - about forty-five minutes. shaving adds an additional 15 minutes and the hair thing - that takes about an hour if i am hurrying and use the blow dryer and longer still if i let my hair air dry which is my preference.

Daddy and i recently took a weekend trip and he was very good about making sure that i had time to get ready on time to make dinner reservations and the like. i never even noticed that he noticed. but he has and he likes the makeup part - all of the brushes and shadows and liners. he laughs at the hair thing - why straighten if one is going to break out a curing iron? being the perfect Daddy he is, he laughed and gave me a kiss and told me i looked wonderful - it's all good.

i do think that women have more things to do. on our trip, for instance, i had three pairs of shoes, stockings, a dress, skirts and sweaters and necessary and approprite under things as well. he, on the other hand, had one pair of shoes, two slacks, and three shirts and clean undies for each day. it takes him about 15-20 minutes with distractions - he showers and dresses int he time it takes me to put on makeup.

vive la difference!

It takes me about an hour - and that's without makeup or shaving, believe it or not. 15 or 20 minutes to shower, 5 to get dressed, and the rest of the hour to wrestle my hair into submission, lol. It's down to my butt and knots easily and constantly so it takes a lot of work to take care of it.

Yes i do find myself preparing differently for a Dominant/Master differently then i did way back in those "vanilla" days! i take more care and time, it means more to me. More from my heart. That is the emotional side, the physical side is the shaving "everywhere" that is more time consuming. That in itself can take 15 min. Cutting your genital area is a bit different than cutting your leg,,,so it takes time. It is also not a straight smooth area that's easy to zip through, as you know.... So even if play/scene wasn't on the menu,,,?best not to take chances. One never knows, what the plan is, surprises do happen?? So for me all in all one hour, and i do not wear make-up.

For an average work day-10 minutes, with no shower. 30 with shower.

For going out, prolly 30 min without shower, and and 45 with.

I'm fairly low maintenence

Hrm. I can vary 15 minutes to three hours. It all depends on what I have to do that morning. Typically... 15 - 30 minutes. I will be one to admit I shower every other day unless its obvious I should do it then. I am also a night shower person as I can actually enjoy the shower instead of wondering which child I just heard scream "Mommy!!!"

Basic showers can take about 15 minutes, 20 if I have to shave.

If I am using Nair that night. Then its going to take me at least 45 minutes because the Nair treatment takes a good 18 - 20 minutes. (Put it on and then cleaning it all off, moistureizers and ect.) Then taking a shower.

So, In the morning it can take me a whole 15 minutes - wash up a bit, put on the clothes master has laid out, brush my teeth and pull up my hair. Master laying out my clothes means less time for me trying to pick something I think he would be pleased with or like to see that day. I don't spend much time on my hair, its fairly easy to manage. Master likes it in basic styles - pony tail, pig tails, braid... or down, bun, slightly pulled back.. ect.

Now, say if I need to shower in the mornings - such as - When Master says we are going out (for any reason) or the previous night was... messy, or even On days I give the house a good scrubbing in the morning. I'll take a shower and get dressed. These are also usually the days I shave as well. So that alone takes my shower to 30 minutes. Then add in another ten or fifteen for getting dressed. So there is 45 minutes. I'm not a makeup girl. I have a ton of it, but - Im not big on it. The most I do might be a tad of eyeshadow, lipgloss... eyeliner. Master is a natural beauty man, accenting is okay but that is about it.

But, there are also times when I just take a shower to escape... and I will just relax and sit there, or take a bath and soak for hours.... sigh.

I've been trying to grok the concept of "on a typical day wanting to look good or dress to please your Master" for awhile now but it's just not getting through. When I get ready for my day, I'm making myself look decent for myself and for the unfortunates who'll have the poor luck to meet me that day. I did this before I was married and I've done it since I've been married. I can understand putting in more time in a scene situation, or for a date, or for a special occasion but to attribute my grooming time day to day to a desire to please my partner? Having someone to please doesn't suddenly give the mundane details of my day special meaning. Phrasing it the way you have makes it seem that if I didn't have him to look good for, then I could be a total slob and it wouldn't matter. Which I suppose is true to a point, but...I guess I don't understand why pleasing him is more important than feeling good about myself for my own sake. If I feel good about myself because of things I do for myself, it pleases him. So I'm having a hard time seeing it from the point of view of doing these things to make him happy with me.

So on a normal day I put about 15 to 20 minutes into getting ready. 10 for a shower, 5 for contacts and makeup if I need to put any on (I usually don't) and 5 for throwing on my clothes.

On a day when I feel like looking particularly nice, whether I have a reason or not, it can take between 30 to 45 minutes. The extra time is for fixing my hair and doing a good job with my makeup.

None of this is done to please him. It's done because it makes me feel good to look attractive.

Let's see...

- try to get my lazy bitch ass out of bed: 20 minutes.
- make coffee so I can open at least one eye: 15 minutes.
- wake up my brain and prepare the shower process (shaving, not shaving, What am I suppose to shave today anyway??, Am I suppose to shave??, etc...): 10 minutes.
- realize how cold my bathroom is and decide that I don't really want to take my clothes and training collar off: 5 minutes.
- realize that if I don't do so, I'm going to get slapped or guilty: 5 minutes more.
- getting (finally) a shower: 7 minutes to 12 minutes, depending on the shaving stuff (How much do I have to shave??)
- dry: 5 minutes.
- brush teeth: 3 minutes.
- cold water in the face: 10 seconds.
- apply body lotion: 1 minute.
- apply face lotion: 1 minute.
- take a look out side to see how much am I going to freezze my ass today: 10 seconds.
- decide to wear a skirt, or light, tight clothes for him, no matter how cold it is, anyway, I'm used to it already: 10 seconds.
- choose the outfit, getting dressed and put training collar on: 10 minutes.
- apply light black make up: 10 minutes.
- do the hair: 15 minutes (very wild hair).
- wonder off and get my sh*t together: 10 minutes.
- get my angry morning mood out of my system and insert the normal mood on: 1 hour.

TOTAL: three hours sort of.

Oh good lord.....I work 50 to 60 hours per week, then I come home and make dinner and clean, then I put in an hour or two on Master's start up business.

To dry my hair completely with a hair dryer takes at least 45 minutes, so to really do it right takes at least an hour and half.

While we certainly get dressed up to go out, Master understands that my schedule is full, per his desires. He would rather spend that time with me, then spend that time waiting for me. He has absolutely expressed his desire to see me in jeans rather than sit on the couch for hours waiting for me to come out in stockings and skirts.

Real life happens.

Well...I kinda like to see him drooling, so I try to do my best. It makes my self steem appear and my happy mood too. And I'm ussualy very punctual, so, he doesn't have to wait.

Punctuality has nothing to do with. It either takes an hour and a half to get completely done, or my hair is wet.

My point is that he'd rather have that hour to spend with me, rather than me spending it in the bathroom. With our respective schedule, our time together is more precious than to waste it worrying about what shoes to wear.

Yes I like to see him drool, but there's only so many hours in a day. I have a career that he has requested that I take care of. That means I work 9 or 10 hours a day. Another hour or two on his business, an hour or two making dinner and cleaning up. Weekends we go out and dress accordingly.

typically it takes me an hour to get ready for work ..for Master however long it takes is what it takes.. i do no like to go to Him half done...I like to have hair, nails the perfect outfit. I assume this will change drastically when we live together though. He is happy with me no matter how longIi take .. if I have wet hair ,, no make up .. He dosen't care as long as I am not late (learned that one the hard way) ouch !!!
