Do some searching on the threads here about info on becoming a Domme. If you can't find something, don't hesistate to ask. There is a forum for Mistress's, and I'm sure someone would point you on your way.

You're in good shape already -- you have the natural tendency to be in charge and you boyfriend is submissive. So don't go looking for a manual to be a dominatrix because there isn't any; it's up to you to be who you are. However, as perfection said you should look around these forums for ideas and pick the ones you like; have your boyfriend look around too and he can point to ideas he likes and others he doesn't -- then you can pick from among those to push his buttons as you please. Experiment, have fun and be safe.

You have lucked into a wonderful thing! A submissive boyfriend who wants you to learn. As I always tell people "Google is your FRIEND!" Go to Google Advanced and enter your dity name and the term "BDSM" or "slave" "mistress" or something similar. If you do not find anything, put in the name of the next larger city near you. You can also go to a resource guide on a BDSM related site. and find local organisations which often have munches, parties, meetings.

Soch organisations include Society of Janus (San Francisco) TES (New York) Threshold (Los Angeles) PEP (nationwide) AEL (New Mexico) and many others.

Attend munches (which are gatherings in public for the purpose of meeting one another in a safe setting) and see if the local organisation has workshops, meetings, etc. Tell people in the group that you would like to learn more things and there will usually be several who will gladly help you to learn safe play.

Buying good boks such as "Screw the Roses, Give Me the Thorns", "The Leatherman's Handbook" "SM 101" "The Loving Dominant" and others will point you in the right direction also. Most good sites have a comprehensive bibliography for the novice.

Good luck and godspeed! You are the future of our practise and are carrying forward lessons and techniques learnt in the past. You are beginning in a craft that extends back several decades (if not centures) and I'm pleased to see you here!

Lady Sonelle
