More is NOT always better. We took a fire baton class and ran roght home and made a pair. Only instead of 1 foot of cotton gazue I used 1 YARD and the appropriate amount of cotton batting to go with the 1 YARD. Somehow we didn't think it was going to be bad when the baton soaked up the ENTIRE pint of alcohol. Luckily Argent was just going to see how it looked and was not actually going to do it to me at the time. Also he was outside. But it wernt something like this ... Argent picks up the 2 HUGE cotton fire batons and puts them in the bowl of alcohol and seems a bit concerned that all the alcohol is soaked up, but he then in one swift, smooth motion touches the batons to the candle flame and raises his arms up above his head holding the 2 now flaming batons aloft ... as the excess flaming alcohol runs down his arms!!!! The racoon and the cat looked confused just before they ran off into the woods together. The friends who were over that evening sort of gasped and began to look for the water hose. Argent quickly and calmly dropped the flaming torches (suitable for the banishment of Frankenstien, and the bride of Frankenstien, and the werewolf, and Dracula, and the 7 dwarfs ...) into the waiting bucket of water and brushed the remaining flames out. I, concerned subbie that I am, was collapsing in gales of laughter which I paid for later. He was safe and it WAS funny to see! opal
