Never heard of it myself. In my local community it's simply Dom, Master, Mistress, submissive, slave, switch, top, bottom, sadist, masochist, etc. Online I have seen high used to convey that it's a better or higher whatever. Maybe others have heard it. Just comes off as an I'm a better_________ than any other _________ to me really.

Maybe a switch indulging in recreational substances?  Wouldn't recomend heavy play with one of those.

Maybe a switch who's a member of the mile-high club?

Maybe the high grand poo-bah of the switch community?

Dunno, fun to speculate.

There are many kinds of switches, but my guess is something like this, but only offering the "high" option.

If you share the context in which you heard it, people might be in a better position to understand the meaning.  It's probably a term someone made up to make themselves feel special, like former poster here who tried to get people to buy into using the term "high monogamy" to describe her.

I haven't personally heard of this, but if I had to guess...

It would be the switch half that tends to Top more than bottom (i.e. 70% Dom, 30% sub, etc.)

I guess the 'low switch' would be...the reverse?

LOL new term!  I agree with Stef, probably just someone who wants to sound cooler by giving themselves a cooler label.

it could very easily have been said by someone to whom English is not their first language. In that case high would mean Top. :)

I've heard the term "versatile top" but not high switch... I'm guessing A) someone that wants to sound cool B) someone that switches a lot C) someone that is a top inclined switch...

Maybe like in other interests, high switch might be one of those who has been there done that, learned everything, passed all the exams, collected all the badges and bought the t-shirt.

Someone wedged so far up themselves they think themselves more important than others and enjoy the title and admiration they think they have from others by calling themselves such.

I may be wrong, but my thoughts.

I'd guess that it meant that the person was pretty 50-50 in preferring topping/bottoming (or dominating/submitting), thus making him or her a more switchable switch (and thus, having a higher degree of switchiness) than someone who mostly preferred one role or the other.

But I've never heard the term before. Around here, I've heard "I'm a toppy switch," "I'm a switch, although I mostly bottom outside my primary relationship," and "I'm an even switch--I like topping and bottoming equally."
