First of all, the house would never be a "pig sty" in the first place. Since I am His slave and I live here with Him in it, it would never get to that point in the first place. But......pretending it did, I'm not sure He would expect it to be cleaned totally "spotless" in the course of a few hours. Depends on how big the place is, I suppose. Again, let's pretend and say He did indeed expect that.

If He told me what He expected and I agreed to not only do that but "then some," He and I both know that is indeed what would happen. There wouldn't be any "lolly gagging" and napping going on. This isn't because I fear punishment. It's because I love and respect Him enough to do what He expects and I hate it when He's disappointed about anything in life, especially due to something I may have the tiniest part in. With all that said...........if He then arrived home and found it undone, I'm more than certain that His first thought is not going to involve anger or "How do I best punish her?" It would probably be more along the lines of "What the hell is wrong? Did she get a life-threatening injury while I was gone 'cause that's the only way I can imagine her not obeying and pleasing me?" He would know with certainty that something was majorly wrong. There wouldn't be immediate punishment because, knowing Him, He would take time to really think out why it happened and to talk it out until we get to the bottom of it. Then appropriate steps would be taken and they would not involve any of the tasks listed thus far or any type of physical/corporal punishments. I know Him well enough to know that.

If in the unimaginable instance that something was not physically wrong with me and I had indeed simply chosen to disobey, there would be some issues to work out and I know He wouldn't stop until we did. It's not a fun and playful answer but an honest one..........................luci

I'd make her clean the whole place in front of me with one hand tied behind her back (her dominant hand).

I'm sure I'd also sit around laughing as she, folded laundry, did the dishes, washed the floor, and so on, with just her weaker hand.

Inference, not directly stated. You think it's normal for someone who is not overtired to have a full night's sleep and then have no energy to get up and get to things, but instead put them off hoping to get a burst of energy? I don't. And then that burst of energy never came, instead the need to sleep an additional five hours in addition did occur.

No energy to get to stuff, plus sleeping the day away indicates the need for a physical to me, blood work for underactive thyroid especially.

If this had happened to me and my slave...

Then I would first, and in the most calmest manner, happily turn mu house into WW2. In other words, I'd make the already large mess...incredibly insane.

Next, I'd cover her right eye, and tie her left hand behin her back. All the while giving her explicit instructions that she is to have the house clean before she can do anything else.

Next, I'd move all of her things to sleep with (pillow, blanket) into the kitchen. And for every hour it took her to clean the house she would then have to sleep that many nights there.

And lastly, for every hour it took her to clean the kitchen, she would then have that many hours of "timeout" in the kitchen each day until her punishment in days has finished.

Perhaps she is overwhelmed at the gargantuan task.which both of you have created.
Perhaps she doesn't take your order seriously because you have not followed through in the past, you have not provided her with any reason to think that today is different from any other day. You are not consistent in your expectations --who is responsible for that?

Edited to add: Punishment should teach a lesson. If you want the role of teacher then you have to have some knowledge to impart.

OK, assuming all other issues are not relevant, such as why the house is a pigsty and were the instructions clear and fair etc...

I would tell her that it's really too bad the house is not clean because I had a lovely evening planned for the two of us in which I was going to (insert whatever her MOST favorite activity is) but since she will not be able to participate because she will be cleaning the house, I will have to go alone. Then I would leave and go have some fun while the house was cleaned. Of course there would still be an additional punishment for ruining my good time.

But I also like the breadcrumb idea.
