One day, on their 50th anniversary, this couple was going through their attic, looking at old keepsakes and momentos from their history. The wife, Rose, found an old cigar box buried under a pile of clothes. Her husband, Tom, tried to take the box away from her as she opened it. In it were two ears of corn and over $10,000 in cash. She looked at Tom and asked what was with the corn and the money. Tom went on to explain.
"My beautiful, darling wife. I love you with all my heart, but I regret to inform you that I've cheated on you in the past. Everytime I was unfaithful to you, I put an ear of corn in that box to remind me of what I had done."
Rose gasped and her eyes teared up. "I can't believe you cheated on me! I did everything I could to make you happy. I cooked for you, kept a clean and neat house for you, I took care of you, and did everything you wanted in the bedroom." She paused for a moment. "I'm still livid, but I guess it's not too bad, only two times in fifty years. Now tell me about the money. Where did you get that?"
Tom put his head down in shame and replied, "That's the money I made from selling the corn."
