I'm thinking that might be a good idea. Most likely it's probably just dirt around the motor's windings, bearings, or brushes and not that big of a deal to fix, as long as one can get inside of it to clean all that crud out. I'm thinking that if it was an inexpensive piece of zot to begin with, it should probably be taken down and thrown into the zotcan.
