i aked Master about this and his answer was .. We'd just start everything all over and change it up lol .. theres always new ideas and new ways to do thign s.. new toys so i dont think getting bored would be an option

it's called being in a relationship. I completely agree with mnottertail that it takes only fine corrections to keep a sub in line. If you don't maintain boundaries, things can get out of sorts.

To me, I think how can it possibly ever get boring?..I hope that sometime I too will have some years with my mate to know his thoughts without tone,to read his face like an open book, to give and receive comfort in that knowledge of him..I call such contentment ....boring?...only a fool would think such a thing is boring....Tempting

Mostly all of you have answered no, that it doesnt get boring... Then what is the reason so many Doms seek new slaves, without the presence of their current slave? Why the need to have her alone when your current slave sits home alone?

Who are the "so many doms"? Every D I know, man or woman, who has multiple slaves often has them there, serving at the same time. No one is sitting at home alone, whilst the D is off elsewhere with another slave.

really.. so there are not many D's who actually train and play with their slaves individually, they all play together? Im very sure there are many Doms who do, and many also who wont admit it. Ive personally encountered these myself. on this site.

You know, I have been rolling this question around in my head a bit and the thing I keep coming up with is an analogy.

It's like getting an old car, maybe a Mustang or a Porsche and then spending endless hours restoring it until it shines, the engine roars and the seats gleam in the sun.At that point most people get down to the business of enjoying their handiwork and occasionally fine tuning it, new spark plugs, lube job etc... to keep it running at optimal performance. Thats the fun of it, without regular work the vehicle will slip back into its prior state, just because its running perfect now doesn't mean that constant upkeep isn't required.

But there are others for whom the joy is in the building itself, and for them as soon as the car is finished they are already looking ahead to the next project. its neither right nor wrong, just a mentality difference, what makes each party happy. (Note at no point here does anyone ask the car what it thinks, by the way, grins). They may even sell it and use the experience gained and the profits derived thereof to invest in the new vehicle.

So for me I think why spend all that time building something so special if you don't drive it, a lot. In that I am always utilitarianistic.Thats what a well trained slave is, a finely tuned machine assembled to give maximum pleasure to her master. How can that be boring I don't know, but then I am clearly a Type A guy in this regard.

Of course I am also by nature a hedonist, which leads me to the question posed by loanslave. My answer is that just because I have a Mustang Shelby in the driveway doesn't mean that I would mind having a Ferrari in the garage. Two radically different cars, both pleasurable to drive that will give me great pleasure for years to come. And they even look nice parked side by side.

Actually I am not a car guy presumptous one, and yes, slaves are not cars, duh. Last I looked they are people.
No analogy is perfect, thats why they are analogies, They allow for points of comparison.
Besides, it seems to me that you missed my point if thats all that you have as a response.

I could have used any thing for the analogy, boats, furniture, jewelry; the object is irrelevant.
The point however is. The fact that I stated it was an analogy out the gate makes it clear that it is exactly that, an analogy: an imperfect model that nonetheless can be used for comparative purposes.
I gave an answer to your question, one that on the surface it appears you did not like. Oh well, its an answer and a worthwhile one. Whether it fits your worldview is unimportant.
Your response is weak, in logic when one cannot assail the argument one of the most common logical fallacies is to attempt to attack the arguer, hence the "car guy" comment. I write a few paragraphs and you draw erroneous conclusions about me based on zero input data, hence my comment regarding presumption. Next time ask.

When my Master is with another, I am either home happily doing something for him or out happily with my friends or family. If a slave is home pining unhappily while her Master is out doing whatever, then she is not yet in that "fully trained slave" category.

Currently I am not included in his playing with another because he has not found another who is comfortable with my position to him yet. Rather than push a girl to do something outside her capabilities, he waits and uses her seperately while continuing to train her.

Personally I liked the car analogy. I rather compare myself to a tasty treat though - so I'd say sometimes he feels like a nut, sometimes he don't. :)

MJ doesn't seem to get bored with me, an I have a lot of training; He said it challenges HIM to be a better Master and to improve His skills, as well as redefining some of my training and add new things to what is already learned and known.

This lifestyle has endless possibilities for learning, and for exploration. How can you get bored with an endless supply of ideas?! Heck, if someone really does run out of ideas, all they have to do is get on here and ask for new ideas, they will have plenty of them in no time.

I think the point of the OP's question was whether a master would get tired of a slave that HE has trained to suit him perfectly--not someone who's been extensively trained by anyone else.

Actually, I can see I missed this perspective: if a slave is just an object, I could see how the analogy works perfectly and why someone would spend the time training a slave and then sell, give away, or release that slave. For myself, I see a person as a person, not as an object, not matter the station they fill. Difference in internal definitions, I guess.
