A friend wanted to meet during work hours in the Silicon Valley for some decidedly non-vanilla adult activities of the erotic kind. Some locations or hotels are BDSM friendly, e.g., hotels which have bedposts instead of bedboards, or they have large mirrored walls, or they have a canopy over the bed high enough and sturdy enough to loop her arm ties over her head to, or they have a private enough hot tub to get a bit risque below the water line, or ...

Some locations are BDSM friendly also, e.g., quiet private comfortable areas outside the home or workplace, where two adults with similarly matched interests can enjoy the Top and bottom.

Given the desire, what's a good place, in the south bay, that you know of for BDSM-friendly daytime playtime?

You can easily rig up bindings using prusik knots that you can wrap around the legs of a bed.  Few motel beds have bed posts.  I had a loop on one end that I would wrap around the legs of the bed.  The prusik knots make it very easy to quickly adjust the length.  They were pre-made and adjustable so there was no need to cut anything.  I made a set that I used to use when my ex and I traveled.

The Beverly Heritage has bedposts.

But why not rent out a room at Edges?

I must admit I had to look up Prusik knots.

Most hotel beds I've encountered in playtime situations seem to have no space under the bed to loop the ropes; nor are there any bedposts above the bed (which, of course, is preferred). With no legs to loop lines, it makes it difficult to give her the feeling of restraint to a large object.

This Prusik knot seems to have the advantage that it's attached to a line, not to an object, so we can possibly loop a very long line around the bottom of the bedboards and then attach the Prusik knot to that looped line.

One problem is that the main looped line must be larger in diameter than the one used for Prusik knots. Apparently 6mm cord around double 9mm abseiling rope is effective (http://ozultimate.com/canyoning/knots/prusik/). Given a soft line for binding must generally be large, that makes the main line even larger - so one worry might be that the main line would be too bulky for easy stearage.

These Prusik knots seem to be a good adjunct to our BDSM repertoire since a good Dom needs to have, in addition to a healthy dose of testosterone, a varied BDSM kit with the knowledge to use it to her advantage. I think I'll lay out my D/s kit and start practicing as shown at http://ozultimate.com/canyoning/knots/prusik/ & at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prusik_knot

Thanks for the advice. Prusik knots might help if I don't eventually find a good hotel that has either bedposts or an Anglican canopy overhead to tie the lovely lass up to for her own good.

I like the beds with the iron hooks in them and the adjustable latches!
