I dont know that posting on the boards and going into chat is a "good" way to find out if some one is who and what they say that they are. I seldom do either and I am what I say I am.
Sam I am....lol...

Anyway...I just dont make it to chat or to the boards because I tend to lurk until I find a subject that I either 1) can contribute something to 2) am curious about or 3) just want to know what else it says.

If you notice my status here is vanilla...but...Ive been on CM for a long while...not exactly sure...maybe 6 to 8 months...(okay thats not long to some of you...but I have a lil ADD so Im happy I made it this far...)

Anyway, after a while you can tell if a person is "real" or not...usually, the plastic fingers that are all stuck together make it hard to type...so watch for typo's.

Sterling, no one is suggesting you shouldn't post, in fact, you might learn quite a bit from doing so, I've offerred to help you with your profile, you've not responded either to that mail offering such or to the post saying so. I'm not sure how else to help you.

I think time is the one thing that will truly differentiate the types of people that you are looking for whether in real life or cyber space.

First decide what it is that you are looking for and that will help you appear more sincere also. Secondly, just because someone doesn't have a web cam or choose to send you photos the minute that you engage them in conversation doesn't mean that they are not who they say they are but simply that they aren't comfortable with sharing something so personal with you right away.

Be sure there are fakes on here. Women who are 300 lbs. pretending to be svelte and swathed in leather 24 hours a day, men pretending to be women, older pretending to be younger, married with kids pretending to be single. Be cautious with whom you share your information with as well. By knowing the risks we all take when participating in an on-line community caution is to me is favorable...not a deterrent.

Sterlings there is no way to tell if someone is genuinely who they are aside from the basics of exchanging information as you two feel comfortable with one another. Some female dominants don't want to reveal much because they are shy, some don't want to because they are private, some because they don't do webcams (like moi), and some because they are men who want to see a hottie like yourself on webcam for them to wank to. You can only rely on your judgement, gut instinct, and whatever information each person wants to share to decide for yourself.
