Status: offline 		Kitten: nothing personal but I saw Shatner on Brit TV being interviewed by a very chauvenistic "superior" Brit interviewer and IMO Shatner put the interviewer in his place in such a way that until he, the interviewer, got home I bet he didnt realise what had happened.

Shatner seems like a down to earth type to me but of course he may be projecting an image I dont really know .

Status: offline 		In the late 60's after the original Star Trek series had been canceled and the first movie had not yet come out I happened to see Shatner onstage playing Hamlet. He was over-the-top as usual but in this case it worked. Hamlet should be played almost as a parody of itself and he was quite good in the part. From what I have heard of him Shatner did have a lot of Shakespearian acting experience before he began being cast for television. I think that explains a lot about his acting method.

One interesting aspect of this new "prequel" movie is that it will also have a Captain Pike character in the Star Fleet class. Though as Shatner is associated with Kirk, Jeffery Hunter pretty much owns the part of Pike. Still it would be nice to see that character out of that life-support wheelchair.

s'okay dcnovice.  we're pretty tolerant here of alternative lifestyle choices.

And I don't like Shatner in ST...but yeah, he's a hoot on Boston Legal.

I actually saw him yonks ago with, I think, the Denver Philharmonic.  They were all behind a scrim.  He was in front (in the spotlight; I know, go figger) doing...dramatic readings?  Or something.  Peter & the Wolf?  Teddy Bear's Picnic?  Some of his "songs"?      (shudders; pushes memory back WAAAY down deep in dere)

Scotty was way more fun live.  Saw him at a sci-fi convention (or, uh, two; remember what I said about alt lifestyles; oops, hey redeeming detail: at least once was a one-off at a university campus).

Yeah, Nimoy doesn't wanna know from ST.  Does SF audiobooks, though.

Status: offline 		He's awesome in Boston Legal and I love that he seems able to laugh at himself...I heard him on the MJ morning show here in FL.  He interviews pretty poorly on the radio imo.

domi...the guy CAN NOT sing and watching that ruins my fond memories of a young Shat making out with every single chick that hit the stage of star trek.  Kirk was a hottie.
