I was not a grits lover, nor was I a biscuits & gravy kinda gal either... [:D]
However after moving to FL from AL and TX I had an ex bf who cooked for me and he mixed some some of the best southern food and I grew to love grits, especially mixed in with eggs over easy, yummmm!
I learned to love biscuits & gravy and southern/country fried steak w/ white gravy while in TX.
Boiled peanuts took a little longer though, I had a best friend who got me to try some (again) several years ago since living in FL and now I love cajun boiled peanuts, yummmmmmmmmmm! [:)]
