Can someone please tell me how I upload real picture on the left side of this page as my avatar instead of the fake icon thingy...thanks

Click on "my profile" at the top right. Somewhere in there you'll find a box to use your profile pic as the avatar. Main profile pic is the only option, specials for the forums are mostly not allowed.
