Detectives investigating attempted blackmail against state lawmaker

SPOKANE -- A state lawmaker from southwest Washington in Spokane for a legislative retreat last week may have done some socializing here that now has the attention of local detectives.

State Representative Richard Curtis (R-La Center) was in Spokane last week and reportedly had consensual sex with another man at a downtown hotel that later led to blackmail. However Curtis says there was no sex and he isn't gay. Now Spokane police are trying to determine if Rep. Curtis did in fact have a sexual encounter here that made him a target for extortion.

So, what I wanna know is; WHY is it that so many 'closet gays' insist on keeping their brothers down?  WHY do so many insist on voting against equal rights for all...and yet pull stunts like this?  It just makes no sense to me...

I realize they wanna keep their jobs, but can't they do that without gay-bashing with their votes?

To me, this is why people think being gay is a choice, only someone who IS gay and TRIES to be straight could ever think it was a choice.  Why else would gay marriage threaten their marriage to a woman?

I mean, if bigamy was legalized and you could marry TWO women, that might threaten straight marriage but how else could gay marriage threaten you unless you wanted to leave your wife for a man?

Representative Curtis, who said that he did not solicit anyone for sex, that he is not gay and that he got into this mess just trying to help someone out.

Boy,that "helping someone out" thing, will get you into trouble ,every time.

I`ve heard right-wingers speculate, that this is a gay/liberal conspiracy, to undermine the republican party.I`m not kidding. The theory is that the dirty-filthy gays have "infiltrated" the party, acting like straight, conservative law-and-order types, only to commit character suicide  at some predetermined future time.Like a sleeper-cell.Yeah,I know, sounds loony..

A guy can have his dick sucked and still be straight. The dude might be being blackmailed- but

no straight man is going to "help someone out" in that manner.

My response?    If I posted what I would do- I would -be in the slammer.

Dont insult me public servant.   Sen Craig wants to kiss your azz. Call him.

In short, it seems that no, they cant keep their jobs unless they vote the right way and say the right things.

If anti-gay feeling (aka ignorant bigotry) wasnt rife, then they wouldnt get elected, surely?

I had sex with a state congressman.  I have no contempt for him.  I can identify the penis.  He is very good at representing  the people he serves.  I wont say who he was. It is pointless.  lol- when I was with my ex- each year he got a Christmas card from mr and mrs blank. lol.

It could help that Pennsylvania is not actually a state, it is one of 3 commenwealths.  This means the states resources are for the entire population of the state.
[ie "commen" "wealth"]

While Philly and Pitt is brutal, much of PA is a nice place to live.  Only Florida has more retirees per capita.   :-)
