Allo and welcome to Collarme. I am going to encourage you to overcome your shyness and reach out to others. We are a big site and chances are you will get overlooked otherwise.
An easy way to reach out is to read the message boards and add your comments or questions when you are ready. Its fun, you can learn stuff, and you can make friends this way as well.
