It's not wrong to be looking for your true love or soul mate on here. Heck, i'm looking for a LTR with someone, but yet i'm also taking my time with it, hence the reason for my current Dom [:D]

~fr~
Definitely possible to find real love here. Not easy, but surely possible.

Sometimes people go on a business trip and go by the most expedient means, conduct their business and call it a good trip.  Sometimes people plan a vacation down to the last detail and activity and feel the whole trip was ruined because it rained every day.

Personally, i've had some of the most pleasant experiences by just getting into the car, choosing a direction and just drive.  i found a place on the Utah-Wyoming border that made the best malted milkshakes on the entire planet.  i discovered an ichtyasaur in northern Nevada.  Lots of things i would have never found if i had put the destination before the journey..... including love on CM.

Dnomyar -> RE: True Love on Collarme? (11/1/2007 4:59:55 AM)

I have ran across people on CM that were looking for love. The problem is that they didnt want any kink involvement. If your looking for love great but dont knock the ones who arent.  This is not E Harmony.

i've found the love of my life here on CM.  with Daddy's permission and blessing, i'm planning a wedding/crosscountry move to Oregon for August.

Wow, time sure flies. It seems like you just met that guy.

jealous?

does it matter if i "just" met the guy or not - the point is we are happy ...and i do hope that doesn't cause a problem for you.

I personally don't think it's time that is moving fast, but I admit that I'm just as confused as I was in this thread.

and what are you confused about?  i have 2 Doms - Daddy and SO. so tell me in what holier-than-thou BDSM book that says i'm not allowed to have more than one Dom?

as explained i have a Daddydaughter relationship separate than from mine with the other - still confused, perhaps you should have privately asked me all the sordid details ...not that i would reveal every tiny one until your heart's completely satisfied.

(sorry about the minor hijack here nurse - some people....etc etc)

Dnomyar -> RE: True Love on Collarme? (11/1/2007 5:30:40 AM)

sam have you met this guy in person?

BloodLuna -> RE: True Love on Collarme? (11/1/2007 5:31:48 AM)

Sorry I didn't have time before starting work to read all the responses but the first 10 or so were wonderful

I met my Dom partner here on collarme 2 years ago.  We are very in love and expecting our first little one.  (Due jan 17th)

I have all the confidence that if I found the Dom I could love here, I will eventually find the slave I can care for as well.

Now, I know that there are alot of those out there that feel that D/s and love are not equal and should not be mixed.  I accept their belief, as I refuse to judge anyone, but I cannot imagine any relationship, D/s or otherwise, that didn't have an emotional connection of some sort - even if it is just a service sub cleaning my house once a week.  Besides, eharmony refused to create a profile for me.  I'm too scarey LOL

once again - YES ...any other questions that could have been asked privately and not hijacked the thread?

sweetNsmartBBW -> RE: True Love on Collarme? (11/1/2007 5:33:19 AM)

Hi all...and thanks to everyone for responding.  Have enjoyed reading what everyone had to say on the subject.

Dnomyar- I'm not knocking anything; I asked for insights- from both sides.  If I came off as negative about the quote on the profile I mentioned, it had nothing to do with the fact that the individual was not seeking those things.  What got my attention was the idea of telling those that were looking  for them that they'd likely be better off looking elsewhere.  As many folks have posted here, it seems more likely to find a potential match when starting with a group of people that identify with kink or power exchange dynamics, than it is to find a match that would be open to those things at a predominantly 'vanilla' site.

Jeez Treasure I think you just gave me a serious case of brain-strain from reading all of that! [8D]

You are allowed, it's called poly.

Celeste43 -> RE: True Love on Collarme? (11/1/2007 6:42:36 AM)

The people who say that do so because they're only interested in casual, no intimacy, relationships are aren't having any luck. So they try to convince others to give up their lists of what they need in a relationship in order to have a short term affair.

If you need a relationship that includes love and commitment, then write those types off immediately.  The Man and I met at bondagedotcom and have been together over four years. We were looking to make a good friend with whom we could also enjoy ourselves play/sex wise. We got that and more.

Stick to your morals and continue to talk to people, and to date. If you don't feel there will be a connection, be honest about it, wish them good luck, and keep looking.

You seem very defensive, sambamanslilgirl. I've never been confused about your two dom relationship. I was originally confused about who you were calling your SO as I had just read a thread where you were talking of seeing a "new dom" yet I had previously seen you talk about your "boyfriend".

I was still a little confused that you were already talking about relocating to be with a dom you acknowledged to be "new" to you. It also wasn't clear if you'd met him more than once. Now, a month later, you're planning your wedding.

However, if it's right for you, then it's right for you. That doesn't mean I have to understand how you can move so quickly into a lifelong relationship with a man that you describe as "the love of your life".

I asked for no sordid details because it quite frankly doesn't matter to me enough to bother.

Edited to actually post something.

sweetnurseBBW -> RE: True Love on Collarme? (11/1/2007 7:06:31 AM)

I met Master on cm then we fell inlove. I didn't come on cm with the intent of looking for love.  Sometimes you can't help where the heart leads you.

Some don't feel the need for love or romance in the type of D/s, M/s relationship they seek. It is a free site and people will put what they want on there. Just their preference.

fleshslave -> RE: True Love on Collarme? (11/1/2007 7:18:33 AM)

first, i met someone from eharmony, and it turned out, they were Dom. just not in the lifestyle really.  He had not found it in himself i guess.

second, true love on CM? its just as possible here as it is at any chat site. or yahoo. people connect, talk, meet,  and see if it clicks. if you want to love someone with a kink, you need to look where the people with kinks are!

MrSpectacular -> RE: True Love on Collarme? (11/1/2007 7:26:48 AM)

In response to the OP - yes it could be true - but for someone who has a goal of true love, marriage etc why even have any restrictions what so ever. Yes CM is a place to meet like minded people - but it should not be viewed and neither should eharmony as the path to true love. It is one of many ways that could be used for meeting people or making a connection.

"If you are seeking true love, a soulmate or marriage; - visiting eharmony.com may be more appropriate for you than CM."

bandit25 -> RE: True Love on Collarme? (11/1/2007 7:31:07 AM)

Not exactly sure of the difference between true love and just plain old love, but...you can find love anywhere at anytime if that's what you are looking for.  And don't forget that love comes in all different shapes and sizes.

SimplyMichael -> RE: True Love on Collarme? (11/1/2007 7:31:21 AM)

Universe stopping, heart soaring, music in the background romantic love is quite possible.  I met a woman here, actually she introduced herself to me that is so divinely perfect for me and I for her that every day we find some new way we were made for each other.  Despite the difficulties of distance and complications from our past this has been the easiest relationship I have ever been in.  We strive to be as open with each other as possible and have for the most part done a beautiful job of keeping each other safe as we explore our insecurities with each other and expose our soft underbellies to each other.  That of course has built a level of trust neither of us have ever experienced and doubted we would ever share with another.

So yes, I think that love can be found here, if a cynical and arrogant ass like myself can find love, anyone can.

BloodLuna -> RE: True Love on Collarme? (11/1/2007 8:24:27 AM)
