As some do know, I made a set of ten curved finger talons out of copper for .dark. These were really prototypes, just to see if they worked.I even wore them down the local pub, they curved nicely around a pint glass but hey, they are used to me down there!The way home the usual cat stroking session and my cat had a real deep stroking with the claws, the cat apparently loved it so I see the use of finger talons with cat owners.
I have developed my talon now,I have one made out of brass with the tip, 5mm of it hard soldered and filed into a blade, so now the pointy action together with the easily scratching action, push a little harder and it cuts skin with ease.
So far only prototypes, but I am keen to make the claws out of titanium or surgical steel and am investigating a blanking machine and there a three dimensional punch to form my design.This is a project at college and I will be doing blanking in the next few weeks so if I get anywhere with it I will post here.
