Here is the prototype of the idea I had while indulging in some adult beverages
in the desert while on vacation. The bottom photo has one link added.

This is actually a scaled down version, next I will make the same thing with
my standard 3/8 inch Stainless Steel stock. The photo shows 1/4 inch
Stainless Steel rod stock. The Stainless steel rings will also be also
heavier to balance the look. That way I can utilize my standard Allen screw
or Padlock closing feature on this collar.

So far my wife has been wearing this collar for a few days and even
sleeping in it with no problems. She does prefer the snugger / choker
style as she does in all her other collars. Ain't she the lucky one. [;)]

So far I haven't offered it up for sale and am not sure what price to
charge since this is way more labor intensive than my regular styles.
I'll have to think about that some more after I make a 3/8 prototype.
I'm also trying to come up with a standard link size to allow for a more
comfortable fit by adding or subtracting links. My idea was to use the 2
locking link lenghts to make fine adjustments in size.

You are the first to see this...so what do you think?

I like the look as is actually, but I understand why you are doing the changes.

Hee, very industrial looking.  I'd hate to make this comment when I can't offer a 'solution' but the design almost looks like it could use some other element.

Far better than anything I could have created though.

Ooooooooooooooh!!! I don't know if you remember but a bit ago I asked you about something more 'flexible' and bingo bingo![:D]I likes that one immensely. A lot. Loads. Bunches.[:D]Especially with the added link. Ohgosh. I got the warm fuzzies thinking of something like that around my neck uhhuh.

Vad, you are the bomb. (I hope you know what that means, some don't)

As far as the attachment and adjusting point, think "special wrench". Making a collar that is locked but nobody knows it is the best thing. A key is nothing but a special wrench.

Awesome, we gotta talk one day about more chastity ideas.

Y'know I can work with metal, but I can't do it nice and clean like you. That takes alot of experience. Like to know what you do for a living, a machinist or saomething like that ? Or is this your job ? Please don't tell me you are an accountant. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it would be a surprise.

One day I will have to get you on the other side and bring up a few ideas, but that collar is awesome, and I am not into collars. You have a real flair for this.

Thanks my friends for the vote of confidence.I do take all comments to heart and making a more flexible collar was part of the new design.Like I said I'm not an artist but was a Model Maker for over 30 years in the Toy business.As you all know this is not a good time and the company I worked for went belly up about1 and 1/2 years ago. I had been making collars for a Gorean friend for about 10 years and now am making and selling them on my own as well. I make what I feel like but do the bestjob I can. I take each item personally since all of my orders come from people not numbers.I worked late Friday to finish the heavy 3/8 inch collar for my wife shown here:http://www.ringofsteel.net/images/ring-bar3-8.jpgThe reason was that we went to a Harley fixin' party in Wisconsin on Saturday and I wanteda reaction. I added her padlock from another collar to complete the look and the collar went over very well. My wife said it was so comfortable she forgot she was wearing it. But she does wear one type or another most of the time, so is used to the weight.Our friend Vonnie, who wears one of my regular collars, liked it also. I just happened to havethe smaller 1/4 inch prototype with me, so let her wear it. As you can see... weight is not an issue. By the time this photo was taken, a lot of adult beverages were consumed and I forgotto take a photo of the two ladies together. Plus I broke my camera later. I'll make you the 1st one for sale. You can have it in a Padlock, Allen screw, or Tamper Resistant Allen screw closing. I will custom make it to the size you want. My wife has a 13-3/4 neck and the collar she is wearing is 15 inches inside. I have a lot of labor in making this type collar, especially since I don't have a lathe, and was thinking of charging $175.00 for the 3/8 inch and $150.00 for the 1/4 inch.
What do you think?
PS I will have it engraved VF 001 if you would like for free. hahaha
