KittenWithaTwist -> Female Supremacy: What the *(&@#%$@?? (8/3/2005 9:15:23 PM)

Female supremacy runs rampant on Collarme. It's hard to believe that so many men believe that one sex rules over another! I just can't understand why anyone would believe that the genitals make the person, rather than the brain.

Could any of you help me understand this concept? Of course, feel free to be confounded with me. Ranting is particularly welcome.

I won't rant with you but I share your consternation.

However, I think a lot of guys list it as one of their interests because they assume its just another phrase for 'female domination'. Of course, quite a few understand what it means and claim to support it.... but I suspect its mainly wank fodder for them. I think the number of guys who live it on a daily basis is rather small.

EmeraldSlave2 -> RE: Female Supremacy: What the *(&@#%$@?? (8/3/2005 9:42:38 PM)

You see just as many female subs who believe it is the "natural way" for the female to be in a relationship with the man who brings home the bacon while the woman does the domestic work.

There are traditions throughout history which purport that women are superior than males...turn on any sitcom and you will see poormales being ridiculed while the smart mature woman just rolls her eyes and pats the man on his head.

As long as they don't try to tell me what I should do, I'm fine with what they want to do in this regard.

There was a long thread about female supremacy a few months ago. It may have degenerated into a flame war though. I don't remember.

I can't personally help you understand the concept as it is not one that I agree with. I can however direct you to a few threads (that often turn sour) on the subject. My hope is that there are enough opinions from all perspectives to help you better form your own opinion.

Male Inferiority

Elsie Sutton's "Female Domination"

Women in Control

Female Supremacy??? My rant...

Hope this helps and welcome to the Collarchat forums.

Perhaps it depends on what things you belive superior. Now i dont belive in the superiority of one of the sexes, but one sex or another do have some advantages in certien ereas, they both do, on different things.

denimknight -> RE: Female Supremacy: What the *(&@#%$@?? (8/4/2005 12:01:18 PM)

I have an interest in Female Supremacy as a concept and find Mrs. Sutten's work thought provoking. However, I have noticed an interesting pattern regarding the people in my life who do and do not adhere to the idea of Female Supremacy.

One of the best things about the "Leather Lifestyle" is the caliber of people I have had the chance to meet through it. I find that so often those who are in the lifestyle are just a cut above somehow. I'm not really sure how to explain it, but they tend to be turned up to 11 so to speak.

I've been fortunate enough to have wonderful friendships with some truly top shelf women, and female dominants are in the majority of that number. However, it has been my experience that the female dominants i have known who truly blow me away with their intellect, vision, focus, beauty, sheer goodness of heart, and leave me thinking "Wow, you are one of the most impressive human beings I have ever had the pleasure to stand in the same room with"; are the same female dominants who find the concept of female supremacy laughable at best and outright offensive at worst.

I won't say just what conclusions should be drawn from this. In truth I have done my best to avoid drawing any conclusions from it for myself. Still, I find it interesting that the most superior women I know roll their eyes whenever someone mentions female supremacy.

SadisticPrincess -> RE: Female Supremacy: What the *(&@#%$@?? (8/4/2005 3:12:38 PM)

I am not a female supremacist either, though of course Grrrrls are Better! LOL Each gender--and each sex---has advantages and disadvantages, just as each person has skils and faults.

I am baffled by the men who call themselves lowly worms, and expect my attention. Why would I waste my time on something lowly?

Check out those other threads---and no doubt there are some on male godlikeness (Gor, anyone?) that might give some insight into where female superiority is coming from.

Felt it was ridiculous when I first began reading on the subject and still think it's one of the most ridiculous concepts to spew out. Surely you've read many of the threads on this site that prove, at times, we are equally as stupid as the men. [:D]

We all have our strengths and weaknesses, but to believe one sex to be superior to the other, well that's just poopiecock or is it poppycock?. But seriously, I don't believe in the concept.

I would have to say that this trend is probably because those specimen of the Female persuation that are superior know that there are just as many idiots, morons, bitches, assholes, fuck-ups, etc on one side of the gender fence as the other (and quite a few on the fence as well). They are being realistic about it - neither gender is superior just because one has tits and the other has balls. There are superior specimens of both - but to say that one is better than the other simply by virtue of a chromosome or genitalia is just absurd.

I also agree with SP - why would I trouble myself with someone/something that I feel is inferior to me? I want an equal who submits to me, not someone who needs me because they are incapable of taking care of themselves without me.

dominmd -> RE: Female Supremacy: What the *(&@#%$@?? (8/4/2005 6:23:36 PM)

Sorry to say that I have to be equals with a sub. Top/Bottom, D/s, yes they can be lifestyles. But ask any Dom/Domme or Master/Mistress and many will reply that they respect their subs, care for them and to a degree or more love them. Those people who consider themselves worms or lowly this or that have self esteem problems.

Are individuals sometimes superior to another?......................Maybe yes, maybe no depending on your point of view.

Is one sex better than the other?.......................Nope, because we are humans and we all make mistakes and cannot hope to be perfect in this life.

quietkitten -> RE: Female Supremacy: What the *(&@#%$@?? (8/4/2005 7:39:29 PM)

I am from the school of live and let live...
If a person believes this and their partner believes it as well, more power to both of them.

I don't think either sex is superior, we are just different... and I happen to like the differences.

LRODANDMASTER -> RE: Female Supremacy: What the *(&@#%$@?? (8/4/2005 7:44:25 PM)

OFF COURSE SEX IS SURPERIOR I MEAN LIKE WHATS THE ALTERNATIVE SELIBACY?

MstrssPassion -> RE: Female Supremacy: What the *(&@#%$@?? (8/5/2005 5:37:22 AM)

I also see this concept as esteem problems, for both roles. My personal impression of the women I have met real time that are on the extreme side of this concept are very insecure & they derive power from belittling others. They lash out at other women who do not embrace their concept. This I definitely do not understand, if superiority is based on gender then how can they impugn a woman who does not follow their concept?

I do not believe gender denotes superiority. In fact I do not feel any person is superior to another. It is too bad that this element is often the basis of so much erotic porn& that the erotic porn tends to be what so many people come across first before actually exploring this way of life. This porn gives the impression to so many that this is what a female dominant is all about. In all reality, it is a very small percentage of woman that follow this. (I am not including pros in this statement)

I don't care either way...
I know some cultures and within BDSM there are views of this nature (Gor)...
I simply feel that if there is going to be an inferior, I'll chose the superior role.

Before ever getting into BDSM though, I thought women were MUCH more than they ever got credit for when I watched (un)NATURAL child birth. M

i dont belive one sex is superior to another, but i might belive some pepole are superior to other pepole, but that has more to do whit what they have achived. i can truly admire somone that is good at somthing, and if they are good at many things, and inteligent, and good looking and all of that, it is hard not to feel inferior to them.

SadisticPrincess -> RE: Female Supremacy: What the *(&@#%$@?? (8/5/2005 12:24:35 PM)

Feel free to include pros in your statement!! I don't know of any who are female supremacists outside a planned scene. (granted, I only know a dozen or so.......)

<edit>I guess I should add the industry (pro-dommes) & porn gives the impression that Supremacy is the mindset or practice of what a female dominant is all about. I do agree with you SadisticPrincess, it would seem that Supremacy most often the practice of pros. My reply was a focus on non-pro.

I don't include pros in my general overview of female dominants. I know & have known many people that are professionals. Breaking it down, many are actually submissive to their partner. Many, try as they might, say they live this full-time with a submissive partner(lifestyle based), but often these relationship fail horribly because the pro-attitude carries over to the personal interaction & many subs do not care to be treated like a paying client. Only a very small number I have personally known over the years were in long term relationships with their submissive(s), were dominant & not switch or sub & taking on paying clients as a pro. Since there are so many various dynamics within the catagory of pros, by my experience, I do not include them in my personal overview of the general catagory female dominants who identify as 'lifestyle/non-pro'.

No disrespect meant by this

GoddessDustyGold -> RE: Female Supremacy: What the *(&@#%$@?? (8/5/2005 3:56:25 PM)

Within a relationship, I am always the superior. When a boy falls to his knees and grovels, just because I am female and he knows I am a Domina, it distresses Me.
