Status: offline 		OK, the example was doing ONE thing for 4 hours, in this case whipping:

in my younger years, I've wielded a splitting maul for 4 to 6 hours straight, so something as light as a whip would certainly be doable by someone. However, someone being whipped for 4 hours would make a helluva bloody mess by that time. I have flogged for 2 hours straight, but yeah, the boredom factor does set in and I wind up trying more and more creative things with the flogger. Play sessions do normally run 2 to 3 hours, but in that time, I've usually done a variety of play, not just one thing over and over.

Status: offline 		Definetly not. The longest we've gone of playing is about 1 1/2 hours before we both "fall over" from exhaustion. With me being primarily the tired one and with him letting me rest. Until i get that next burst of energy and wear that down.

Status: offline 		I have played for up to 6 hrs at a time, eat, potty, nap and start up again.  But it sure wasn't the same deal straight.  Whipping for 4 hrs?  LOL with what, limp spaghetti?  I keep picturing Passion of the Christ and the ensuing blood and gore.  You would feel it, until your mind just went numb and then what it the point..?  There has to be a change up to maintain a level of interest.  Heck.. even vibrators lose there edge and become annoying if you stick to the same routine. 
I think that guy has read one too many Beauty books.
Or, he lacks the creativity to do more than fling a whip.

i have held a session or two of floggins and whippings  last  for about 3 to 4 hours,,  but  not with a constant ,,,
i found myself  taking breaks,, sitting down,, enjoying a drink,, never  for a strait 3-4 hours,, ,,
th tourture changes,, to suit my needs wants and desires to punish,,
no leaving them on the St. Andrews Cross,, chained to the coffee table ,, tot he bed,,  tied tot he rafters  ,, for the night is nothing new,, or even for a full 24,, < yes i let up for potty breaks,, at times,, not in to scat>

Status: offline 		I would certainly get very bored if I was flogging for 2 hours or more.  It's one of the reason both of us dislike ropes - short attention spans I guess. 

My other half took a wonderful 30-45 minute flogging at Kinky Kollege this past weekend (her first public scene too!), but truthfully I had one of the Dommes there do it because I really wanted to be by her side the whole time and watch her face, and because, frankly, she's much better at it than I am or would be any time soon and didn't want my lack of expertise to make my honey any more nervous.

From a personal standpoint - 15-20 minutes and I need to switch to something else for a bit to catch my breath and just change things up.

Status: offline 		Being on the LEE side of Tickle Torture, I have yet to say/use/utter a safe word to end the session. The LER or LERS usually know when to allow me to breathe so thus far my endurance is endless.

    If O/one is looking at the clock, then O/one is not adequately occupied.  This is applicable anywhere Y/you might happen to be, unless Y/you live on tight schedules.

Status: offline 		I have played for over 6 hours, on and off.  I could have gone longer, but the man playing with me had to go to work the next day and it was getting too late to continue.  In general, I can play for 2-3 hours non-stop and longer with small breaks inbetween the play times.

There was one time that I did play for 4 hours straight.  The top was relatively inexperienced and she did not understand that if she did too much warm up, I would not want to stop.  So basically, by the time she got to the hard sections of the play, it was too late.  I was able to continue further, but she was not.  Her arms really hurt.  She never played with me again and frankly, I did not want her to play with me again because she did far too much warm up and far too little hard pain.

So in answer to your question, if you play for 4 hours doing impact play, your arms will hurt.

Status: offline 		My longest session was 2.5 hrs, but it wasn't a constant whipping. There was touching, soft converation making sure I was ok, he was ok. Swinging the flogger, depending on it's weight can be tiresome and a change of implements, a cane, perhaps a singletail, the dreaded paddle is always a welcome, or it can get boring.  Usually after an hour I start to get spacey and depending if he will keep me on edge or not... well that is his prerogative.

Now genitorture we can do that for hours and hours...

Status: offline 		Working on the farm as a youngin we used to split the wood logs with a sledge hammer and splitting wedges after cutting them with a cross-cut saw. Would spend from about 7 to 12 doing that, making posts for the fencing... but that was hard work and when I was in my prime. Pretty much constant use of the arm and shoudler without a rest.

Could a sub handle 4 hours of whipping, or flogging? Yeah.. if she was a real pain slut, or really deep in subspace, and if the intensity and placement was varied so as to not overwork any one area, and to give different areas time to cool down. I'd think it would overload most subs though.
