asubmissiveheart -> What are sexual acts? (11/3/2007 8:04:06 AM)

I just asked a question on another thread, and I think it warrants it's own thread.

What are sexual acts?  Someone stated that most Professional Dominant's are not involved in
sexual acts.
I beg to differ here.
If you are touching another person's body, handling their penis {cbt, etc.}, physically pleasuring
them in any manner, and especially using a strap-on.
Are these not sexual acts?

I would consider that sexual, and it's why I don't do casual play. It gets confusing for me to figure out that certain actions are not intentionally intimate and meaning of anything more than just play.

I agree, I don't do casual play either.
Most of what I do is very intimate, and I would not be happy doing them without being in a relationship.

I guess if you're trying to walk the thin line of not giving sex for money that becomes the question at hand doesn't it?  One person could go to the chiropractor or get just a massage and find that sexual.  Hell, I've seen people here say going to the dentist is sexual for them. Even without intercourse, most bdsm activites are very sexual for me, but may not be for others.  I guess it's all relative to who you are talking to at the time.

Wonderful points laurell3.
I would never imply all Professional Dominants are prostitutes, but anyone with a little
common sense can see that some of the people on this sight are really prostitutes with a whip.

What do you call a hooker with a whip, and a strap-on who will perform cbt on you?

God, or a very talented magician, as I have nothing to do cbt on.  [8D]  (it's a joke).

Somebody looking to make a dollar..... Though on a more serious note I feel as though many bdsm acts are sexual (note I said I feel) now this is for me I am not sure about others but I do not want just anyone swinging a flogger at me..... I think the manner in which you are introduced to such activities might lead to how you feel about say the intimacy level of the actions....... Assuming you were taught about bdsm from lets say internet porn well those tend not to be so romanticized or sensualized, but for those of us learning about it in other manners lets say with our first d/s partner things tend to be far more sensual, romantic, and intimate..... I suppose it is all perspective really

excellent point jaded.

It took me a long time to get this. I was stupid and naive.
When I first started in the lifestyle I really didn't understand that it was sexual for me.
I saw it as pain relief. And it was terrific pain and stress relief.
Then I started to understand the D/s implications.
Knew I was dominant and so swopped to being a Domme.
Then came the realisation that it was sexual kink for a lot of male subs and they expected me to, let me put this delicately 'give them relief.'
I was totally shocked.
Let me explain I was sexually abused and brought up in the sixties.
So I was no stranger to sex.
However what shocked me was that a lot of people will do this very intimate intense form of sex with anyone.
Then slowly I began to understand.
Alongside the understanding came the realisation about my own abuse and what it had done to me.
I am healing slowly.
I am not taking any moral standpoint.
It would be like the pot calling the kettle black.
All I can say is that I would rather not do it than do it with someone that I do not love and who does not love me.
But then how do we ever really know.
Oh yes sexual is anything that is a turn on for one or more people.
A pro Domme may or may not be turned on by what she does.
Her client may or may not be turned on by what she does.
It maybe about pain relief, stress relief or behavioural therapy.
It really isn't up to us to judge anyone.
I just follow my own heart and try and enjoy the journey.

I totally agree with you. Someone asked me recently how many I had had sex with (imprudent I know but anything my Master asks I must answer) and having sex and intercourse is not the same thing in my book...
