Shawn1066 -> What should I make for lunch? (11/3/2007 10:08:25 AM)

I am at my Owner's house this morning while she's at work.  It's almost noon, and she'll be arriving at home about 3:30...  I'd imagine after a long, possible hard day at work, she'd like to have a bit to eat and a nice cup of coffee.

The coffee part is easy.  I make good coffee!

The cooking part is...eh...  Well, she loves cooking and she's very good at it...  I'm...well...not.  My cooking skills rarely go much further than heating things up or cooking small things.  I think I could possible cook a grilled chicken breast or two with relative ease...but then again, I keep getting horrific images of the apartment ablaze.  I just don't think this is the best time to practice.

So...  Here are my inept choices:

I can cook a pizza and some bread to go along with it. (What I'm currently leaning towards)

I can make her peanut butter and marshmallow creme sandwiches. (Which I know she'd enjoy, and I wouldn't screw up)

I could heat up a can of ravioli. (It's in her stuff...so she probably doesn't hate it.  Then again, who's ever been dying to eat ravioli?)

I could make french fries, but there's really nothing that they go with, I don't think...

Ideas?  Suggestions?  Ridicule? [sm=tongue.gif]

My domestic skills including cooking are horrible so I feel for you.  You can rarely go wrong with speghetti if she has the stuff for it, I also always recommend soup and grilled cheese as easy but also somewhat nutritious and filling.

Shawn1066 -> RE: What should I make for lunch? (11/3/2007 10:26:47 AM)

Hmmm, how big is the taste difference in microwaving it and actually cooking it?  If it isn't a big difference, microwaving sounds wisest...

jadedserendipity -> RE: What should I make for lunch? (11/3/2007 10:27:28 AM)

Can you microwave rice-a-roni?
