Actually Squeakers, I strongly believe you should be on medication for about a month prior to the therapy. Simply because therapy is such damned hard work in the best of times. And learning new ways to approach things while too depressed to get out of bed is just too much work.

   I am SO glad that you were not around to recommend that to me.   My body gave off signals that something was amiss for me.   I suffered emotional pain, I suffered anxiety, I suffered depression and I did not know where it was coming from and I wanted it to end.   Had I had taken medication to relieve my symptoms, I never would have dealt with the real issues because my symptoms would not have been bothering me enough to work it out.  
   God bless my therapist who said, "Nope, medication will not cure your issues when my medical doctor recommended them."
