I don't scene either.  I am what I am and I do what I do and if I choose to do something with and/or for another under my umbrella of D/s then that is just what we do....when I play, I pull out a board game or something.

LA mentioned this the other day on another thread...raising your parents....i just had to rant at my mother to get it into her thick skull that my younger brother NEEDS to be in the hospital....he's had a fever that spikes over 103 for 2 solid weeks and hasn't been able to eat in all that time...he is able to keep liquids down when he doesn't have a fever....but shit....he has been to the ER once and the doctor 2 or 3 times and no one is insisting they put him in the hospital, i don't even know if they are telling the doctor everything that is going on because i am not allowed to go because i have no authority in this house...which they are all to happy to remind me...in this case i just want my brother to not fucking die....is that too much to ask?

One of the funniest lines in the movie!  And later, when Wesley tells him, with thick irony, "Truly, yours is a dazzling intellect."

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. “Pooh,” he whispered. “Yes, Piglet.” “ Nothing,” said Piglet, taking Pooh’s paw.  “I just wanted to be sure of you.”

You could take him yourself when your parents aren't around or you could call child protective services annonomously.

Edited to add:  How old is your brother....Does he not go to school? ??

Yeah, Chelle, that's scary.  As BBBTBW has said, you could report the situation.  You could also call a hospital, tell them the situation, and ask for an ambulance.  Once EMT's are there, if they know that the situation's been going on too long, with no intervention, hopefully they'd insist upon at least seeing your brother.

I hope he's okay.  He may have some kind of serious infection.

he just turned 18 on the 19th of October...legally, anything that could be done he'd have to do himself...but he's at the age where he still wants mom to do it for him...and he still relies on my mother's knowledge...

he's a senior in highschool, but the school knows he is sick and his advisor has been collecting his work from the other teachers...

He will NEVER leave the age where he wants Mom to do it for him.  Tell him out of concern for his future health and not disrespecting your mother, you would like him to PLEASE go get himself checked thoroughly.  It is not normal for a person to run a high fever like that and something not be seriously wrong.  Tell him you love him, then its his call.  You can only do what you can do.  You can't blame your parents for this one.  He is an adult now...The call is his to make.

Ok, One can only go based upon information given...I went with what I had based upon what you gave.  Hope he doesn't continue to get worse.

Which is more important?  I think perception is.  If what you intend is not how others perceive it, then your intentions are for naught if you don't do anything to modify your presentation.  Right or wrong?

This is a difficult one, in a way.  I think I need to know more specifically, what you mean.  Are we talking about the actual effect on someone, of what one does or says, vs the intention?  Or are we talking about the interpretation by others, of a communication, vs the intention?  Or is it about people's interpretation of how we are, in general, compared to how we really are.

For this one in particular, I was thinking more along the lines of interpretation of a communication.
