sammiebabygirl -> "Quit Your Worrying Or I'll Spank You" (11/4/2007 1:34:53 PM)

I'm watching the musical movie Oklahoma on PBS and Laurie is upset because she fired Judd and is afraid he will do something to her. Curly tells her that he will spend the night to keep her safe and to, "Quit Your Worrying Or I'll Spank You".

Now, I have seen this movie at least a dozen times, but this is the first time that line stood out to me.

Oklahoma is set in the early 1900s. Ahh to have lived then. LOL

Mmm, nu nu nu, jen. If I lived in the early 1900's I'd have to play Ima to Aba's yeled and that really ~really~ wouldn't work for me.

The late 1800's and early 1900's is my time.  Too bad I wasn't born back then.

There is everything to love about that era/

Remember, it was statute law in the Oklahome Territory that you could not beat your spouse with a stick longer than your forearm nor thicker than your thumb.

I'd rather go for the 1300s.  The Hanseatic League had this thing going that was like the renaissance 200 years early.  Too bad the black death cut things short and it took so long to get back to nifty new thinking.

I perfur the 1500's In Fudeal Japan the Warring States Era. A hundred years of war, where man could go from lowly pesant to god on the battle feild. Ah the clash of swords and the smell of blood, what more could a man want?

Works for me if the man that is beating me is over 6' with a relatively thick thumb. [:D]

Hmmm,
sammiebabygirl.

Should I send you out to the cane break in the back yard to cut an appropriate switch?
