There should be a sticked post that you can update whenever, "Lucky's FAQ Links".  Or perhaps something more catchy?

Music distracts me when Im sceneing. I like to concentrate with the task on hand so I block out any other sounds. I also do it at work and it tends to bug people trying to talk to me.

there's so much music... and bdsm... This girl loves to mix music with liqueur, like Amareto & AC/DC, Frangelica & new age stuff, Tequila & reggaeton, i had a mistress who liked milk & scotch with the milk squirted from my... ahem.. Guns & Roses cover of "Sympathy..." which was the credits track on "Interview..." is fantastic with Absinthe.

Let's see... Dead Can Dance just released a new CD just last month... Jill Tracy is still the most unsettling, along with DeAmanda Gallis... There's an insturmental album by Danzig called "Black Aria" that is absolutely amazing... and just about anything by space music artist Michael Stearns is perfect for any scene or venue. I'm rather partial to "Eat Static" which is a seminal UK techno band, with a UFO theme running through much of their work. There's also a band called Sleep Chamber, whose album "Spellbound Submission" would also be a great fallback...

The bands I wish people would lay off of, because they've been played to death:
Enigma
Lords of Acid
NIN (sorry, but after the 1,000,000 th playing of "Closer" I just want to climb the walls)
Deep Forrest
Any of the James Bond soundtracks.

Latex , no worries thats why i luv the music end ya never know what maybe found .Bad music can be ignored and blocked ,but good  tunes with the right tones and beat i find can really enhance the exchange and push up the energy levels .I also love to do percussion spankings to the drum beats  either with hands , chop sticks ,drum sticks ,or smaller canes .The buttocks makes a wonderful drum .

Kind of off topic:

But mya the 80s were considered the most segregated music period of modern times until CBS Records threatened to boycott MTV by pulling all videos (and CBS made the most videos up to that point) until MTV agreed to air Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean."  May 1979-May 1983 is considered the Jim Crow era of modern music

Well, if you really like drum based stuff, you might want to check out a band called "Big Pig" which is made up of five drummers. The only song of theirs that you might have heard of, is "I Can't Break Away" which was used as the main title track to the old "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" flick.

Hey, as long as we're on the subject of drumming, can anyone tell me what the term is for japanese ritualized drumming? Often there are twenty or thirty drummers involved in the performance of it. They had an example of it recently on an american car commercial, and have actually seen a few peices performed live, but I have no idea where to look for it, who some of the better artists are, etc., etc... All I know is, a flogging scene would be incredible to this style of music!

Mickey Hart's Planet Drum and Supralinga are amazing drum CDs that I've used for scening for years.
Japanese drumming is called Taiko. This well known especailly at Tanabata Festivals.  I grew up watching Taiko Drummers and I am very lucky to live on a musical street right now, my next door neighbor neighbor is in the biggest Taiko Drum Troupe in Northern California (you've probably seen her in the Mitsubushi commercial which I believe you are referring to above).

Being new, I haven't "scened" but I do love loud music during sex. :)   For some reason, it makes you sort of get lost in the music & the beat & sort of zone out a bit.  Almost like a high.
I love all kinds of music.  With the exception of really really heavy metal.  That seems a bit scary.  lol
I guess my favorite would be romantic music.....awww...I know....yes, I'm a romantic!  lol
Secret Garden:  Quincy Jones....Prince....etc.

I like the room kind of quiet---but I do like music.   A CD mix in my truck could contain,  a little rap, a little jazz (Gotta love Louis and Duke Ellington great pianist and also incredibly dreamy eyes), some blues, some 60's, 70's and 80's music, classical--but never country.   Well---Patsy's okay because she has an amazing voice, not as good as Ella or Billie--- but she's up there.  If I had to pick a song that I relate to BD/SM---lol--- it's  Louis singing 'Ain't Misbehaving' God I love his voice.   I am pretty sure Fat's Waller did not have BD/SM in mind when he first presented this song but---I still love it.
