Nope---I do not think so---as a matter of fact I sort of think the ones on CM are sort of funny.   How can one be an expert at corner time?   And what does that say for the sub who is an  expert at corner time?   Does it mean she can actually get her nose in the crack of the wall without difficulty or does it mean she has spent lots of time in it?

LMAO... I like the ones from the dominants who are experts in collars. They must get alot of time in them....

What about expert in diapers---does that mean you can keep it contained?

Why is no profile found scary?   Answer me please.

Such a witty remark...

Grins-it means a sub is likely to find herself a bit out of control.

CollegeConundrum -> RE: Would you say this is a red flag? (11/6/2007 2:43:28 PM)

I wouldn't say it's a red flag.  Have you seen that shit?  It would take you weeks to fill it out.

If you're considering that as a red flag, look harder, there's probably a better reason you're looking for to not want to see this guy.

It isn't this guy it was the guy I met a year ago I told you about originally. It is sometimes part of the game of a player to pretend to be perfect for you so you will fall for him.

I list interests to drive off people I DON'T want to get involved with. Is that honest enough?

So do I.  When I was looking. I am not looking right now. But apparently I need to make a profile saying I am not looking or else I will scare the other submissives.

LATEXBABY64 -> RE: Would you say this is a red flag? (11/6/2007 3:49:47 PM)

if you judge someone by their kinks then you totally miss what they are. to me that is a red flag.  if someone does not even fill out the nilla things in a profile for example like coffee tea or even about them as a person then they are really not interested in being serious or are hiding something. But someone could lie about everything anyway

batshalom -> RE: Would you say this is a red flag? (11/6/2007 3:49:53 PM)

~fast reply~

Nope. Doesn't red flag me in the least. I figure it all comes out in conversation and action, and if someone will say something just to agree with me, well ... maybe I can expand a mind or two, eh?

Some are private to their kinks and likes and dislikes.  I met people on this site who are very interesting people that I've gotten to know who just don't like the way the "checklists" on collarme are structured so they refuse to fill them out.  They readily admit that they probably don't get contacted by potential partners a lot that way but they are okay with that.

Do I personally do searches on those who are submissive, yes I do.  Do I check to see if they are relocatable, occasionally. But for the most part I learn more about how people are or how they want us to think they are via the boards so most of the people I am interested in getting to know are those who post here.

LATEXBABY64 -> RE: Would you say this is a red flag? (11/6/2007 4:00:39 PM)

there is a lot of reasons or motivation why someone would not fill out something.
And if they are talking to you still no guarantee they would be honest. So it is discovery process. yep how much do you really want to invest or safely invest with out getting burned

SirJohnMandevill -> RE: Would you say this is a red flag? (11/6/2007 4:41:07 PM)

> if you judge someone by their kinks then you totally miss what they are

Agreed, but who's "judging" just by looking at someone's interests? Not me, Mon! I personally find the interests extremely helpful in two ways:
-- They let me know if a sub has roughly the same kinks and interests I do. And if she has as "Dislikes" or "Hard Limits" whips, canes and crops and/or spanking, I normally won't contact her. I know we won't be D/s compatible;
-- I sometimes use them as an icebreaker. "From reading your profile it seems we have many interests in common, BDSM-related and otherwise," or "...it seems we both have an interest in [fill in the blank]."

I always read everything in a sub's profile. Please, ladies...keep listing your interests!

sammiebabygirl -> RE: Would you say this is a red flag? (11/6/2007 5:03:42 PM)

The lack of interests is not a red flag for me. Those are things that can always be discussed if there is a connection.

The thing that gets to me is getting a message from someone that has NO information in their profile and then writes to me saying, "tell me more".

IrishMist -> RE: Would you say this is a red flag? (11/6/2007 5:11:34 PM)

Know what I find to be the biggest red flag of all?

A person, who has no profile up for viewing; comes on the forums and complains about others who don't bother to list their interests somewhere in their profile.

sammiebabygirl -> RE: Would you say this is a red flag? (11/6/2007 5:18:43 PM)

Oh Geez. I never even bothered to check the OP's profile.

Thanks for pointing that out, IrishMist.

I just kind of breezed through the preferences.  Now I have a sudden urge to change them all randomly.

shootingstar67 -> RE: Would you say this is a red flag? (11/6/2007 5:53:10 PM)

I deleted it due to the fact I am not looking at this time. My "complaint" refers to the people who do not list their interests and are  searching actively responding to profiles. And it wasn't a complaint. It was a concern.

I wasn't aware that you still were susposed to have a profile even if you were not looking.

Not everyone has to be like you Irish.   At least I hope not

Can you please explain what is so wrong with not having a profile?.

I did not say there was anything wrong with not having a profile. I have been known on occassion to hide my profile also.

Good for you.

As for the rest.... You would be a red flag to me and anyone that questioned me about you.

/shrug

I could care less about your reasons for being on this site; or about your reasons for posting on these boards.
I find it a bit contradictory though that someone who is soooooooooo concerned about something so innane as interests on a profile; would come to the forums, post such a complaint... and it was a complaint... and then defend their own right to NOT even have a flipping profile up.

/shrug
