It depends on whether the other person possesses a vagina.

TheHeretic -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/7/2007 5:23:22 PM)

Well of course I do.  I'm a mean, sadistic, sonofabitch.  Cross me, and I will stalk your posts with my collection of needles until you snap and I see that sweet, sweet, awaiting approval where your words ought to be.

(No, not really.  I enjoy all sorts of communication styles and have just as much fondness for those I speak sharply with as I do for those I laugh with.  This thread was just getting way too PC.)

(Glad I could help).

Ja, I pretty much try to punch everybody dead in the goddamn face that disagrees with me, becaus it is all so real and terribly meaningful and it is so obvious that I am correct and they are not.

I’m an old Marine Corps Battalion shooting instructor… you are talking of a technique called brass…

You forgot slack… you always take up the slack before squeezing the trigger.

In the Army, it was BRAS... no "slack".

Thinking about it, Army guys probably remember better thinking about bras and no slacks.   [;)]

Lol I do understand that... but you take up the slack for an even trigger pull without pulling with the finger or pushing with the shoulder... If you did that in the corps you will see it in the group pattern...  If you jerk they make you stick you finger in the receiver then release it .. you will not jerk with a sore finger… If you push with your shoulder in anticipation they make you hold an empty rifle against your shoulder  loosely then they kick it hard so your shoulder will be sore and you will remember not to push forward with your shoulder when squeezing the trigger.

PS...I tend to think about bras and slacks a lot lately myself.

MzMia -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/7/2007 7:18:04 PM)

Funny, no one has said YES so far.
I will be the first to say it.......YES I do!
There are people here I hold grudges against and I cyber dislike them.
[sm=mrpuffy.gif]

I am not angry, but there are a few people I do have grudges with here!
I tend to NOT read 90% of what they type, and I don't like them.

There are always going to be people you don't care for in life.[;)]

There was a section here on Collarme that I used to be a frequent poster on.  I started
disliking the vibes I was getting there, and now I rarely post in that section.
I am happier and much better off for it. It was easier to leave the mean people alone, than spend my life arguing and fighting.
 Life is too short.

MzMia… I do hope I’m not one of them…

I like to quote Mark Twain as well… I often use a signature…  I don't give a damn for a man that can only spell a word one way.

With my spelling it fits.

twistedwillow -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/7/2007 7:30:45 PM)

I don't hold grudges against people on here, however I have had my opinion of certain people formulated based on their responses to posts, or lack there of.  The holier-than-thou attitude annoys me no end, and people who are unable to answer the question asked but rather prefer to attack other parts of the post or even the poster themselves.
But it's all good, in the grand scheme of things they are less than bug guts on my car window, I wiper them off and continue my scenic drive.

And I know, shocking as it sounds, I'm not perfect myself. I can be a total bitch when the mood hits, as it often does.

twisted~ wandering off to fix her nail polish..... there now she's perfect again.[:D]

MzMia -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/7/2007 7:32:39 PM)

LOL
You are not one of them.

I was in a situation I was constantly being judged and attacked, and always by the same people.
I don't mind someone disagreeing with me, or even a healthy debate.
We can always agree to disagree, but some people here take it to another level.

kdsub -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/7/2007 7:36:25 PM)

Thank you MzMia I’m glad of that… and yes twistedwillow you are perfect…damn I’m such a suckup at times.

CuriousLord -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/7/2007 7:40:25 PM)

This thread's a disgrace.  It's clearly an insult aimed in my direction, every word so carefully chosen to implicate me as some sort of freaking grudge freak.  Well, you know what?  Screw you.  For a man who wears a skirt, I certainly thought you'd be more tactful.

From the guy who certainly doesn't hold grudges on threads,

Does it have to be a real one or can it be the kind one carries in one's pocket?

No way CuriousLord…. You are much too sharp for such a shallow dig…anyway I usually like what you have to say…. Said gracefully as I rearrange my suckup skirt.

Lordandmaster -> RE: Do you hold a grudge over posts? (11/7/2007 7:49:56 PM)

It has to be real, of course.  Even a man can carry a portable vagina in his pocket.

I have noticed how vehemently some, including me, state or defend their positions in the forum. I tend to sometimes go overboard and use extreme sarcasm and a few times direct insults. In one post after I received a scathing reply to a post of mine I accused someone of throwing a temper tantrum and jumping up and down like a little kid. Way overboard…but I can honestly say I hold no grudges… in fact I defended that same posters position in another thread. I hope he forgives my reply in the heat of the battle…lol

Do most of you feel this way or do you take a posters position on a subject to heart. Rather than thinking of it as a discussion on differing views do you hold a grudge or assign a derogatory personality to the poster and think of them that way in all future posts?

I hope you don’t…I sure try to not do that anyway. I have a best friend that is absolutely opposed to me on almost all subjects. We argue and insult each other much as we do on the forum but even though it gets heated we remain friends. We enjoy the debate and he has even convinced me to change viewpoints on occasion and I him.

I know how hard it is to see what you think as obvious and someone else cannot see it or ignores it. What I have found is an argument with good since usually will not change my mind when debating a point, but later it will slowly sink in.

I hope anyone whom I may have inadvertently insulted or… just pissed off realizes I am not making a judgment of their character. I am just passionate in my views.

Butch

I'm not sure if collarme is going PC... or will stay the course of a free thinking forum of new ideas and brutal honesty.  On a recent post, one girl kept nit-picking totally irrelevant things as to passive-aggressively throw me off.  I called her on it and told her to "stop whining".  She of course got discovered and backed down.  Then people accuse me of flaming... lol   Ridiculous.  I can't believe how much animosity comes from brutal honesty.  Is this becoming a posers site?  We try to be the coolest and the most popular...like whatever!  That's my two cents baby.
