A kiss ~

as soft and sweet
as the petals
of a blossoming rose.

sent from a land
far away and
unfamiliar as her own.

Where long ago
poets wept and artists languished
over such romantic tragedy.

Where a Romeo gave his
life for a Juliet
who could not bear to live without ~

The simplicity of two lips
joined as one
in a soft, sensual kiss.

Thank you! I have posted many poems on this message board, and there are more if you look back through my journal. I recently put a collection of poems together in a book that I've been selling for about $20.00 each.

I write poetry when inspired. I'm always happy to hear I have an audience for it here on collarme!
