Fox's journal certainly doesnt break own our communications.  If anything, it has improved them.  there are things that he thinks of, that I comment on in real life, and we have others who are reading along as he chronicales how training.  I find his journal useful as a way to see how things affect him later, after the activities have settled and sunk in. Also, I see how he thinks and feels about other topics, that might not come up in conversation.  I dont think I wuld have suggested it if it hasnt been his idea, since forcing someone to write never gets their true feelings. However, since he wanted to keep a log of things, I see no reason not to make use of it and see where it can lead.

My sub is terrible at verbalising feelings!  And he is even worse in writing!  Maybe its a stoic Aussie male thing.....

I made him keep a journal for the first month we were together, becuase I knew (from past relationships) that the first month or so is the magical D/s honeymoon period, but the memories fade eventually.

His journal was very much a list of accurate facts, times, people and events (boring!).

The real work as his Mistress is getting him to talk.  He is always perfectly happy with things as they are - however good or bad that might be.  He's an easy going, happy and mellow submissive. he never wants to talk about "his needs" or "how the relationship is going".....which might be a bloody good thing!!
