I am interested in knowing how many strokes of the cane anyone has given or recieved in any one session.Thanks for your input.

Thousands, literally. But it was a rapid rat-tat-tat caning for sensual purposes with very light canes, one in each hand.

Caning isn't something that you measure in number of strokes all by itself. The diameter and length of the cane make a difference, as does the force with which it is swung.

Judicial canings (Google for it, there are videos) can and does split the buttocks open. The kind I prefer don't leave blood blisters but do leave bruises. And my Lady is extremely precise with placement and she watches my reaction to decide how many. Usually it's not a lot, and is done only after an extensive lead-up.

Diameter and length definitely make a difference in sensation and marks. I usually get different sizes used on me in each session. Really love it done on the bottoms of my feet.

Um... well, this is really a sort of "how high is up?" question....

Canes can take on all sorts of variations...anything from light taps, to heavy strokes that threaten to split the skin. Also, are we talking rattan? Hickory? A fishing rod core made of high tech composites?

Just for argument: with a rattan cane #8 diameter (a little thicker than a pencil) I took 50 heavy strokes. I had to spend the rest of the evening lying on my stomach, and I had to be sprayed with bactine periodically... some blood, but not too bad. She was really good at spacing the the strokes. (And I think it was worth it. She came twice while masturbating wildly at the end of the 50. She said she loved watching me writhe...)
