You know this is purely just a random question, and I'm sure I'll get some responce like "its been brought up before" or something like that, but whatever right?

I'm wondering how often in a normal D/s relationship, do you dress up when you're playing? or how often you dress in your roles just in daily life?

Do your fashion choices reflect your desires?

I know we get the whole imagry of the rubber, latex, PVC, and leather when we think of scenes and play, but how often in the safety of your own home do you dress up before play?

I do occasionally, just because I love to dress up. But not very often, my costuming is definitely an exhbitionistic act for me.

Hmmm... depends on if the scene is at our local dungeon or in my... or my Sirs...or someone elses house. If it is at a TNG or APEX event, I dress to impress. I love my fetish clothes and boots whether they are vinyl or latex and always have a garter belt and fishnet thigh highs on just incase I wind up being almost naked (as is usually the case) during a scene. Knife and wax play or saran wrap suspension is hard to do with clothes on and I am always naked...at least my back... when flogged. If at my Sirs house of course, I am just naked with my collar. If we are doing a munch somewhere, though (I know you just said a scene) since it is usually at a public place I just follow Sirs dress code of short skirt, heels and thin strap top (not allowed to wear underwear of any kind) so I'll look normal...outside of the collar around my neck.

Often i go naked save for some slutty jewlery and my collar when dressing up, i dont find any sexy clothes that fit, but i am planning on getting some nice lingerie, and perhaps an pvc outfit when i get thinner, i love dressing up.

I'll wear my leathers if we go out to a dungeon party, but at home...whatever I am comfortable wearing at the time.

We only play at home and it's usually right after a shower or the hot tub so it's just easier to stay naked. Occasionally i will put on slutty lingerie. I have a black fishnet body suit that i love.[:)]

I have never "dressed up" for a scene at home. However, I practice CFNM, so I do wear something most of the time. Skirts and dresses are easiest to keep on and still be serviced sexually, so I often wear those when playing. *smiles* Naked is for what passes as vanilla sex at my place.

Bleh i have never in all my years that i have participated in the lifestyle (7 years) have i worn fetish gear. No PVC no leather or latex. Personally i think it looks dumb. NOW before anyone gets upset, read the last sentence carefully.. it says "personally" "i think" "it looks" Did not say it was or i was right. Honestly i always thought myself abit wierd with my non taste in fetish clothing. But Master seems to like it abit, especially the not really there pieces of clothing and harness and cuffs and stuff. So usually at night i am in "something" now a days. Dunno if its considered "fetish" though.

I prefer to go naked, if I can get away with it! Sometimes dressing up sexy, but Master says why go to the trouble when he is just going to rip it off anyway!!

I make SMS dress up like a little girl sometimes (like a Sunday hanging out around the hosue): some sassy spaghetti string top, white panties and ankle socks, hair ribbons, etc.

I *always* have to dress when we "play", but that has more to do with his particular fetishes than with anything else.

Because the play times at home are spontaneous I rarely take the time to change from whatever I have on. However I adore getting dressed to the nines when going out. Daily clothing choices for Me can run the gamet from extremely casual to tight and hot to business attire so he never knows what he will find when he walks in the door.

I have a ton of pvc, latex, gloves and boots -- half a closetful or more. I wear them out dancing and to clubs, so if I'm being fiendish out at a place like that, I'd be dressed fetishy to the extreme. But if I am just at home, I don't purposely change into fetish clothes. The exception to the rule is gloves -- I love to wear them at times just for the hell of it. Or boots, if I am wearing black patent leather.

I always love an excuse to dress up. I don't have very many "fetish" types of clothing so I try to look very sexy and sensaul in what I wear if Sir is going to take me out. For example we went to one of our local BDSM clubs on Friday night and I wore my high platform heels, black hose (crotchless) a black skirt and a red tank top no bra. I wore silver jewler, and my leather collar around my throat. An outfit that I felt comfortable walking through the store in, but also felt sexy enough to go to other things in.

When I'm at home, Sir prefers me naked. One of our first rules when we began seeing each other was that when I walked in the door that i was to put down whatever I had in my hands, and then I was to get naked, put on my leather cuffs, both ankle and wrist and also my leather collar. That was all I was allowed to wear. With winter coming on, that went to the wayside as He did not want/need a sick slave because of our place being so cold. Then it just never was reinforced. Now, with that said, lol we've recently began talking about my attire around the house. We moved into a bigger better apartment recently and one of my requests with the move was being allowed to wear my cuffs and collar all the time. Well we didnt have a current for one of the main windows, soooo we had to wait. Now we've decided to wait as Sir wants me to have my OWN collar, my own wrist and ankle cuffs as He's going to be playing with a new girl, and He's decided He wants His main girl to have her OWN stuff. WEG.. Which works for me! *grins*

Oh I suppose it would also depend on what type of scene someone was doing too.. I know that for Sir and I we have a catholic fantasy. He dresses up like a Preist on occassion and omg He looks so hot *fans self as she pushes herself back into topic* and I'd love to get a latex nuns outfit* WEG* so I guess if you're going to do different types of scenes/roleplay You'd want to dress accordingly.

I love my leather chaps, but they're really tight, so I only wear them on occasion at home. I wear my leather pants more often. Sometimes I get my studded armbands, black t-shirt, black leather coat, black boots... other times, casual for me is t-shirt and shorts, or black T and black cotton pants and cowboy boots. It really depends if I want to dress to impress. I love fetish wear - shiny black anyhing - ooohhhhhh...

Presumably its different for everyone. Some make a point of dressing all/most of the time,others probably dress up for specific things like role-play in a scene. Depends on how they feel at the time,dressing up in BDSM gear must take time and effort for many so they wont always feel like it.
