For me as well, permanent means "for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, and long as you both shall live." Like marriage, but with D/s. Not everyone is in to marriage, but for me, kink or not, marriage is involved in something permanent.

I have the feeling I might be the odd one out because I search for relationships based on emotional feeling first and kink second. Lucky my boy is a sadistic bastard.

Not to sound old-fashioned, but the consumption society we live in encourages and borderline promotes the quick disposal and replacement of items rather than fixing them, and this, mixed with an overall decrease in the sense of personal responsibility and ownership of one's actions, leads to the same "short term" view of relationships between human beings, as if they become disposable themselves.
But on a more positive note, i believe in society trends moving in tides, forward and backward. It won't be long before a return to "commitment" and respect of individuals and relationships will make its come back in a world wide tour:)

i read Your profile and i read that Youj are looking for adventure. Adventure does not equal permenant. You never once mention that You are looking for a relationship. Just for the right type of person. In my opinion Your profile says to me that You just want to play. Maybe that's why You are attracting people who just want to play. Good luck!

I think everyone is seeking permanent. I am seeking forever. It doesn't have to be marriage. I don't have to live with the person. But you better come visit me in the nursing home.

Not everyone is cut out for marriage. I am not. To me commitment is not a collar or licence...it is something that "just happens"
