mistyeyze -> slave heart?? (11/11/2007 9:28:24 AM)

i'm sure this has been done & done & re-done, but i haven't found any threads with the answers i seek...

i have been asked to discuss the concept of a slave's heart & i would like to get some other opinions as to what that entails...what does that phrase mean to each of you?

& do fava beans go well with one???

I was going to email you this on the other side, but since your profile is innactive...

you might get a better answer for this on the Gorean boards simply because they often use the phrase much more than BDSM does.

whoops!!!  apparently i was logged into the wrong profile...this is the active one...sorry about that......

People who claim to have a "slave heart" are a dime a dozen.  You should be inquiring about those with the much less common slave spleen or the even more rare slave duodenum.

Beware of those with a slave rectum, though -- they only want you for your strap-on.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: slave heart?? (11/11/2007 10:22:03 AM)

It's just another over romanticized term for people to feel fuzzy over being a slave and get to attach all sorts of emotions and experiences that almost everyone has but somehow try to say it's different because "I'm a slave!"

eyesopened -> RE: slave heart?? (11/11/2007 10:45:59 AM)

The whole problem with these kinds of lables is that the meaning is completely subjective and what it may mean to me is total crap to someone else.  And we'd both be completely right in our opinions.

vampchick88 -> RE: slave heart?? (11/11/2007 11:01:10 AM)

To me my slave has willingly given me his heart, not just as a phrase to get me mushy.  I'm able to tell with his actions and concerns for me.  Having my slaves heart means more to me than any words out there, as he too has captured mine without even trying.  I am his Domme first and g/f second, he too is aware of this.  Only because I know his heart, submission, and opnions kept him well guarded, he is far from being submissive toward anyone else but I have captured his heart, submissive side and anything that I wish of him I know will be handed to me while he is knelt below me.

juliaoceania -> RE: slave heart?? (11/11/2007 11:07:29 AM)

I do not get the concept of "slave heart"

Perhaps because I do not have one?

I do not think that slaves love differently than other lesser mortals

it's hard to take your question seriously with the flippant remark at the end.

too bad, because i think it could be a good discussion and i do have an opinion on the subject. i suppose you've already got the answers you sought though, so i'll leave you to it. enjoy the fava beans.

I don't either julia.   I have a heart---I feel it beating but for me maybe it's because I do not identify as a slave.

The term doesn't mean anything to me. But as I am given to my own poetic terms that do mean something to me, I'm not about to begrudge someone a term that means something to them. Just don't apply it to me please or expect me to use it.

MidnightMaiden -> RE: slave heart?? (11/11/2007 2:22:16 PM)

From a slave's perspective I could not think of a better example of a "slave heart" than that which rubberpet shows for his Mistress, go through and read his posts, its evident in every single word he says.  Vamp, I admit to being envious every time I read his posts!

For the OP, perhaps it is a question best asked of Dom/mes.  Master says I was born with a slave heart, I don't really know what that means aside from the inferrance that the role is very natural for me.  Perhaps owners who have had more than one slave in their life and have a basis for comparison would be best able to describe how one slave can be viewed to have slave heart, whilst others do not?

ok, i must apologize...i tend to have a silly & sometimes inappropriate sense of humor...this really is a serious question & i would love to hear all kinds of opinions, honest...to those who replied that i didn't want their opinions, that is so far from the truth of the matter...i don't really care what they are or if they match anything else that i may think or have heard....

rubberpet -> RE: slave heart?? (11/11/2007 4:36:48 PM)

Thank you so much for the kind words, Midnight.  I just try to be the best I can be for Mistress because I feel She deserves the very best effort I can put forth.  She makes me feel like a king even if I am on my knees for Her.  She has had some people in Her life take Her for granted and made Her feel less than who She really is.  I make it my mission every single day to make Her feel like a queen.  I want Her to feel the love She has longed to always feel, the devotion She only believed existed, and more beautiful that She has ever imagined Herself.  I want Her to know that there is at least one person in this world who will put Her needs first and love Her unconditionally for all eternity.  If that is the definition of a slave heart, then I have one and it belongs to Mistress.
I love you, Mistress, with all my heart.  You have my love, my devotion, and my submission.[sm=flowers.gif]

MissMagnolia -> RE: slave heart?? (11/11/2007 4:43:55 PM)

Borrowed from rubberpets post:

I want Her to know that there is at least one person in this world who will put Her needs first and love Her unconditionally for all eternity.

I have felt like that about anyone I have ever truly loved. My kids, my parents, my beloved who died. Yes, we feel different kinds of love for different people, but deep love just the same. I would lay down my life for them in the blink of an eye.

It isn't a slave heart, it's a loving heart.

vampchick88 -> RE: slave heart?? (11/11/2007 5:02:00 PM)

Well then you have loved before, that’s all your statement means. But you undermine the comments of someone who feels things that you may have never felt before, walked in their shoes or to know where these people have come from, their background, their lives then you cannot begin to understand what a slave heart is and how truly a precious gift that it is. It is more precious than a ring on my left ring finger, more honest and true than any poem, more spiritual than two lovers song. It is the utmost gift that any slave can bestow to his or her owner. Its love, dedication, sincerity, compassion, basically giving all of themselves to their owner.
A loving heart merely means that you love someone dearly and yes may lay down your life for them. A slave heart is a commitment of being truly owned for time and eternity by someone they would do anything to make them even smile. It is my most prized possession because of the trust that was gained to give it so freely, without question, without worry. To those who have not experience this connection I hope that one day you may understand the beauty it holds within. For those who act as though they understand it, and try to judge I pity you, for this happiness you’ll never know. Don’t judge this Mistress without walking a day in her shoes.
M. Lorelei
