The statistic on how we could eliminate starvation and give every kid on Earth a basic education for seven years was pretty startling. And the one on how it amounts to 18 months of free gas for every American definitely puts it into terms that we can all understand. Of course, this is just the $611 billion so far... (most of which is owed to China)
But think about it... $611 billion... split that up among the 50 tates and you have over 10 billion per state that could have been used for alternative energy, education, helthcare, mass transit systems....
Hell, it probably could have built a bullet train system throughout the US.
