Finally the time has come for Fangs and I to move in. I'm ecstatic to say the least. After 7 months of every other weekend visits I think I just might fly off the walls now.

Only one thing bothers me. The last couple of days I've been emotional. I'll see a commercail of a couple buying a house and start bawling. I go from happy excited so sure to worried and grumpy.

Am I normal? Ok, I know I'm not (hehe, bunch of smartasses on this site), but I'm used to being laid back and going with the flow. This up-down is driving me nuts.

Any suggestions on how to make the transition easier?

Moving is probably one of the top three stressful events we choose for ourselves to endure.

I think being stressed, emotional and erratic is to be expected and normal.

Just keep yourself organized, remind yourself why you are moving, keep on a good diet and sleep.

Hi, I just wanted to say congrats and wish you and Fangs the best most happiest future.

Just remember. "THIS TOO SHALL PASS"

Drink some tea, do some yoga breathing, focus on the positive aspects of what's to come. Other than that, you're just going to have to live with the angst that come as part of the package of big changes.

Good luck and much happiness to you. Nice to see things working out for someone on CM.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try the diet and sleep and yoga breathing.

Thanks Rosa for the well wishes. :D

Moving in with someone regardless of who they are is always stressful. Hopefully you have defined rules in place. I'm thinking back to my roommate days. What a nightmare those days were.
With Doug it is easy. I'm at home in his arms and have been since first together.
We all handle it in different ways. Myself, I'd want defined rules. The two of you sound like you've already had problems in the past. You've worked them out so no matter what happens you can work them out again.

Speaking of moving, it's official that I'll be doing that (for the second time in three months) as soon as I get the money for a ticket there. Gas is just too damn much for her to come get me herself. Hmm - $39 for Greyhound ticket, $10 for cab fare to the bus station, plus I'm still trying to figure out a way to get my computer there since it was waiting for me here in Missouri.

Let's hope things actually go right for me for one.

Congrats Fangs and Purple!!!!!!

Enjoy enjoy enjoy enjoy. You'll be fine. You know actually they say moving is more stressful then death. Personally i think moving is like everything around you dying. You lose all you are familiar with and tho you can go back, its not your life anymore. And if it makes you feel any better, at the last moment i wasnt so sure i wanted Master to move in. Heh.. got all nervous about it.. Cold feet. =)

Just go with the flow of your emotions. Or do as i do.. go find your Dom and ask verra nicely for him to give ya cuddles and hugs. = )

Congrats to the both of you! I felt the same way when I moved 1500 miles in with Master. I will tell you now.. the stress that comes AFTER your moved in, if worse then before moving. Unpacking is a pain in the ass.

Congrates to you fang and Liltxsubby, wish you all the best. Liltxsubby, moving is very stressful, you will be ok. I sold a trailer, gave away alot of things, packed things I wanted to take with, and lived with a sister for 2-3 wks before I could leave wis. to come to Master in Ms, a 1600 mile trip, the being organized and deciding what to do next and what to get rid of and what to keep was very hard, than on top of that was the fact I was leaving my 4 boys behind, all grown and on their own, with grandbabies and my daughter in laws that I love very much, plus family and friends. It is a huge step and yes very scarey.
What helped me was making lists, talking to Master, he helped me stay focused and on track, a problem I have when faced with too much to do, I get overwhelmed and just stop all together, So I made lists, asked friends and family to help me put some things in storage at my sisters, had to make two trips to wisconsin and back to get things but did it.
And talked to Master more, reassured myself and my boys that things would be ok, they are grown and on their own, they can come to visit, master says they are always welcomed, and I can go home at times to visit too. I reminded myself that it was time for me to do things for myself, and that I trusted Master.
So take some deep breaths, put down things that need doing on paper, start in one room at a time and organize what is what there, and by all means talk to your Master, seek help from family and friends, it is ok to ask for help you know. And realize that it is uncomfortable to make changes in your life, most people are afraid of changes, just realize it for what it is, face it and know that in the end it won't be really that much of a deal.

I've only met a couple people from this site in person. Plan to meet more once I get a job so I don't have to hit up relatives for travel money. Moving isn't stressful on me unless it's done too much, too fast. Then again, this'll be at least the 19th place I've lived in over the course of my life, so I'm used to it.

I think she was acknowledging both moves... not a move with you too. -grins-

Congrats and best wishes to you both. Success stories are always nice to hear

I think moving is stressful in and of itself, much less moving IN with someone. The first (and last now that I think about it LOL) time I moved in with someone it took a good six months for both of us to adjust to living with someone else so give yourselves lots of time to adjust and cut each other lots of slack in the process. Best of luck.

Let's just hope I don't go totally insane from not being able to find stability in my life. I'm moving in with a good friend I met online. She's actually the person that introduced me to BDSM and I tease her for perverting me.

I am very happy for both Fangs and liltxsubby - the two of you coming together is the sort of thing that gives me hope.

CalliopePurple, best wishes on your relocation. Moving is stressful. Roommates can be even more stressful. I hope you find your new digs to be stress-free.

Thanks all. At least now I can quit neing stressed over being a weirdo. :)

Lists are a good idea. I look at the stuff I need doing, start something, think about all the other stuff that needs doing, stare hopelessly into space and give up. AHHH!!!

HAHAHA it's really not quite that bad. All I have to do is look at all the goodies I have for the new place and all the fun I'lll have setting it up. YAY!

Oh breathing...put that on my list of things to remeber to do.
