Thoughts on the 2 strikes?  Also do you think they are related?

I wanted to go with "nope" and "I could care less"

Television is not exactly a huge part of my life.

LOL- I wonderred what writers look like. They showed a few on tv. The show "The View" I thought that was non scripted. But that makes me think even the small talk isnt-ab libbed. Alot of "ums"- non words.

All I know is the writers better quit their bitching and start doing their jobs because if my favorite TV show, "24", gets interrupted by it, I'm going to go Jack Bauer on someone's ass and it ain't gonna be pretty!!!

The TV/Hollywood writers' strike, I could care less really. I'm not much of a television watcher, so it doesn't bother me all that much.

Now, the stagehand strike on Broadway may impact me to a much greater extent. I have to follow that and see how far that one spreads beyond Broadway. I'm hoping it doesn't 'cause I'm supposed to be going to a couple of local shows in the next couple of months, and I won't be a happy person if the shows have been canceled.

i don't know what issues divided management and labor and caused the strike, but good writing is absolutely essential to all forms of entertainment:  movies, plays, tv shows, books, etc.

i have a hard time finding entertainment i think is really well-written.  Maybe if the entertainment industry can come to gripes with the value added by these laborers, matters will improve for viewers and readers.
