I just bought myself a new ballgag (rubber), it has this really bad bitter taste and i can't get it off. Does someone have some ideas to get it off????

Everything is better dipped in chocolate fondue. Thats what I think.

If it's made of natural rubber, you can't get rid of the taste, that just the way it is. If is more of a synthetic or vulcanized rubber, you can try cleaning it with soap & water, and then spraying it with alcohol, wash off the alcohol residue afterward. We bought one that turned out to have that same yukky taste, but have had a lot of fun using it as a punishment gag. Nothing quite as fun as watching you slave/sub trying to fight back the urge to taste the gag in their mouth, and then looking like they're going to scream every time their tongue touches the ball.

Yep... throw it away and get a plastic or leather gag

You can also try soaking the ball in apple juice or chicken broth. It works for dog nylabones, so it's worth a shot! lol

I still think it would be better in chocolate. Hand dipped like a stawberry and then hardened. Then when it melts the sub will have a messy shitty looking face! but yum.[:D]

It wears off in time is the best I can say. Having worn  mine in to the point I didn't hate the damn thing, and now it's about time to replace it, I sympathize. I don't want a silicon one, because I can't get my teeth into them.

I was going to say toss it and get a new one.... but that punishment idea is a good one!!

The smooth coating is strudy enough to bite on and the extended tabs don't leave the corners of my mouth cracked and sore.

I've soaked mine in Cool Mint Listerine and it got rid of that bitter taste.  If the gag is going to be in your mouth for a while, why not have minty fresh breath afterwards to kiss your owner?  [;)]

Mint Extract or cinnamon extract  or what ever you like .Sometimes they are coated  other will never get that taste out .Try first washing in warm water and mild soap very well then test ,and go from there if you need a coating like an extract .

I bought one two years ago that has always had an unappealing taste to it.  I've tried just about everything, and it hasn't changed much.

As mentioned above, it makes for a fun punishment gag.  [;)]

Some of the balls will have a different taste depending on what they are made of.  You can buy a new gag of a different material.  You can cover the gag with a layer of plastic wrap or cut a slit in a unlubricated condom and slide it down the strap and over the ball.  There are also great ways if you end up sharing the gag with others.  The unlubricated condoms dont have that bad taste from the lubricants.

I'll actually have to try the plastic wrap.  At one point I used some bondage tape, which did the trick - but it didn't adhere in any reasonable manner (Go figure?  [:'(])

Great idea though.  I had thought to cover it, but not with that.

Wrap it in saran wrap, leaving the excess ends OUTSIDE of your mouth like a tail to minimize any choking hazard.

Hmmm... it could be coated with that chemical that degrades into the Date-Rape drug.  I understand certain toy manufacturers, who use this chemical, are now coating such toys with nasty tasting stuff, to keep children from putting toys in their mouth.
 
I find it interesting what manufacturers do to our children's toys...well, and the food we eat.

Try either the Beginner Ball Gag or the Penis Gag from Tantus. The Beginner Ball Gag isn't really just for beginners. Best part is the straps are leather and are removable, allowing the gag to be boiled, dishwashered, or otherwise cleaned and sterilized. They are 100% ultra-premium silicone. I have one and yes it is both odorless and tasteless. The design was patterned after a baby pacifier originally. I find the ball gag a bit large for my liking but it certainly does the job. If only they made one a smize smaller... or they made the shape exactly like a pacifier it would be much more comfortable.
