So who did the better job of torching the constitution and violateing our rights clinton or gw?

bush.. certainly anything from cato isnt going to change my mind. cato is a conservative think tank. I liked Clinton. I still do. That blurb is sour grapes. Clinton was not reckless with our money or troops; bush is. bush was briefed on national issues when Clinton surrendered power to him. bush did not listen. bush is woefully bad. Clinton bashing isnt going to work this month. How can you argue with the longest peacetime expansion in history. If someone like him was in now- we would not have a dollar that is practically toilet paper. SO much for the peace divdend. i shouldnt even reply to this- as the left will think what it wants as will the right.....

I think this is very educational. It shows that no matter which party has the presidency, no matter how good or bad a President does, that almost all of them still do things that is not in the best interest of our personal freedoms. While the tone of this article is definately biased, the facts within it are still there. To use your arguement of "How can you argue with the longest peacetime expansion in history." is very similar to some countries defending what would become a dictator. Look at Chavez, Caestro, even Saddam, and you will see where people used justification to allow someone in power to violate personal freedoms. Whether someone does good, or not, should be judged seperately from the other actions they commit. A Good Man can do bad things, and a Bad Man can do good things. We must seperate out the right and wrong, or we will continue to go down the path of compromising our principles, and this path has led us to where we are today. Over all I liked Clinton, and he did some great things, but that should not influence my perception of the things that he did wrong. Instead we need to look closely at things that are done wrong, and try to prevent them in the future. I agree, I despised Janet Reno, at the time I believed (wrongly I think) that Clinton gave too much away to China, and was too conservative.

Oh lord …so President Clinton was doing the following according to your article; The Clinton White House has, for example, supported the federalization of health care, crime fighting, environmental protection, and education. Clinton also claims constitutional authority to order military attacks against other countries whenever he deems it appropriate. President Clinton's record is, in a word, deplorable. If constitutional report cards were handed out to presidents, he would receive an F. All in the name of expanding federal power. I believe those goals were appropriate and what a President should be doing…The part about Republicans complaining because Clinton wanting clarification on Presidential rights to authorize military strikes was hilarious considering. Perhaps you are saying that it makes no difference the political party in power all American Presidents have a secret agenda to enslave the working class at the behest of big business. Now if I could just figure how blowing up the Trade Center figures in all this…but I’m sure you will inform me. Butch

Clinton had no right sending our Troops to those countries! He tried to pull the wool over the eyes of the American People by claiming it was a "Nato Operation." Funny, which "Nato" country was attacked?
