Currently it is believe that the US will not renew Blackwater contract in May. DynCorp which is one of the two other Security Companies is believed to take up Blackwater duties. According to an Associated Press article, that is what they have done alread. On saturday a convoy of seven vehicles opened fire on a Baghdad taxi. They claim it was approaching them in a "Threating" manner. They also claim only one shot was fired as per policy into the engine to disable the vehicle. However witness claim the taxi was parked, Iraq Police report the car was in neutral. The convoy passed it and stopped at an intersection when the last vehicle just opened fire on the taxi. The driver of the taxi had head and chest wounds and died on the way to the hospital. Now weapons of any kind were found in the taxi. Witness stated after the shotting one guard went over to the taxi, looked and returned to the convoy which then drove off. DynCorp is already having trouble, it was paid millions of dollars by the US, ie taxpayer money, to train and equip the Iraq civilian police. An audit by the GAO should the money has simply disappeared from the books of DynCorp. And no training or equipment was conducted. DynCorp has yet to make any statement about this one.
