The college student who was told what question to ask at one of New York Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign events says "voters have the right to know what happened" and she wasn't the only one who was planted.

In an exclusive on-camera interview with CNN, Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff, a 19-year-old sophomore at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, said that giving anyone specific questions to ask is "dishonest," and the whole incident has given her a negative outlook on politics.

Of course Hillary claims that she knew nothing about it....blah, blah, blah....

The student claims the campaign staffer had a binder full of typed questions. And the student says the staffer went to a page that was titled "College Students" and the first question was about global warming...."As a young person, I'm worried about the long-term effects of global warming. How does your plan combat climate change?"
 
The student originally wanted to ask Hillary how her energy plan differed from other candidates. The staffer said that it "wasn't a good idea."

I wonder if the Clintons plan to trash this girl like they have trashed everyone else who have stood in their way...

What is much more relevant is Hillary's answer. Who asked the question is not nearly as important as the question itself. If she was planted there by Hillary's camp, then so what? It would have given Hillary a chance to address this most important issue. The stupid girl who asked the question has completely obliterated the importance of Hillary's response by making a mountain of such a tiny molehill.

She deserves to be trashed if she think Hillary has concocted some secret conspiracy to plant Hillary-supporters in the crowds at debates, speeches, appearances, and son.

Some secret conspiracy that every other fucking political candidate has enacted.

No it shows these question and answer sessions are completely scripted.

We all saw what happened to Hillary when Tim Russert asked her a tough question on illegal immigrants and drivers licences. She was uncomfortable and looked like she had no idea what she was talking about.

Hillary doesn't like to answer tough questions on her plans or her issues. She likes questions in the form of statements that gives her the oppertunity to spew talking points.

Everytime I watch Hillary Clinton she uses a lot of words but she doesn't really say anything.
She won't commit to anything.
She won't answer questions.
She doesn't say what she's going to do about specific issues.
Her flip-flop answer about Prince Eliot Spitzer wanting to give driver's liscenses to illegal aliens was very telling.
I want to know where a candidate stands on particular issues and what they plan to do about them.
You don't get any of that with her.
Just catterwalling about republicans who she has voted the same way with.
And she's saying the Troops may have to stay in Iraq until "2013?"
I don't think so.
She's trying to play both sides of the fence just like her "husband" and John "French" Kerry.
Does anyone know what she stands for?

I seen the drivers license debate/nondebate.  i dont think Dobbs new time is so great.  At the moment- ild like soemone as far from corporatists as possible.

Keith Oberman on his show last night discussed this topic with a guest who this will be his 6 Presidential election and I am sorry I forgotten his name especially since he is a frequent guest.

I echo what was pasted and as Oberman’s guest talked about all the ways all the candidates do to stack the deck in their favor for campaign stops and open mike questions. This person actually thought that this particular question might not have been staged because it was so poorly done which is not like the Clinton campaign to do something that poorly.

In the end it does not matter because if we were to judge any candidate significantly on this factor then we would have zero candidates in most elections. In the end those who hate Clinton get to smile and those who like Clinton shrug their shoulders and for most of the rest of us we go business as usual for ALL politicians.

Some people say they like her but they don't know where she stands on the issues!

We thought we knew what "W" stood for when he was running.... remember that? He was going to be the first CEO President. He was going to restore the "dignity" of the office. He was going to be a true fiscal conservative... Look at what we got!

Well, at least now we know what "W" truly stands for.... "WORST."

Do you really, honestly think that Hillary could do any worse? At least when she and Bill were still in office, we were at peace, the economy was the best it was since WW II' post boom, and the budget was not only balanced, but in surplus.

Hillary may not be the best candidate, but I'll sure as hell take her over any of those GOP assholes.

Bush totally misrepresented himself.
CEO? He couldn't even run a baseball team.
Bush is neither a conservative nor a republican.
If Hillary "may not be the best candidate" I sure as hell don't want to vote for her!

If candidates, like Hillary, cannot answer the questions that the voters really want answers to, how can we be sure that she is someone we want to lead our Country.
It does not matter how important an issue maybe to Hillary Clinton.  It was is what is important to the voters that matters.

ALL of the candidates should be *asking* the American People what *we* want them to do!
For that reason I like Ron Paul and Mitt Romney.
Romney has a thing called, "Ask Mitt Anything"
And Ron Paul by his *voting record* really is "true" to the Constitution.
I think Hillary probably views the Constitution as a "roadblock" to her ambitions like her "husband" did.
Plus, she's voted for Bush's agenda more times than not!
Her and Senator Abbadabba both, along with McCain voted for Bush's "amnesty" for illegal aliens!
And look at what's happened to McCain's campaign since then.
All we have to go on with her is her voting record and it doesn't look good.
Hillary is looking more and more like a "Republicrat".
That's what happens when you try to play both sides of the fence.
Why doesn't she just come right out and say what she believes in?
What's she hiding?

First off, anyone who thinks Bush is the worst president we have ever had is extremely ignorant of history. Warren Harding, Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter, and Grant were all worse just to name a few.

Second, the boom of the 1990s was fueled by the dot-coms. The President has very little influence over the economy. He gets praise when it is good and blame when it is bad. But he really does not have much power over the financial institutions. The federal reserve chairman and the congress have a lot more power over the economy than the President. A LOT more.

As for spending, it's out of control in both parties. I reading a recent report about the difference between the Democrats and Republicans in congress and they are both spending equal amounts of money. The Democrats eliminated $3 million dollars from the Homeland Security budget in order to add $5 billion to a bill to build a golf course and other pork barrel projects. So the more things change in congress, the more they stay the same. People get elected no matter what party they are and the first thing they feel they have to do is bring federal money back home. That's why the federal budget is a complete mess right now.

We are not going to have a balanced budget until we get a president that is willing to stand up to congress and veto these pork barrel projects. Hillary won't veto them since she's part of the problem. So the budget will still be a mess if she's elected.
