I seek relationships with people who are "normal" all of the time, but who share my interest in D/s and BDSM. Someone who refers to himself as "thing" and a "creature" all of the time would not be someone who I could relate to on an everyday basis.

I was also a bit squicked by his referring to himself as a thing. I think highly of myself and feel I deserve the very best. That isn't someone who calls them self a thing, creature, worm, pig or any of the other things the humiliation guys get so into. I know of very few women who are comfortable calling a sub such things as a matter of course, and they're all associated with OWK.

Yeah, we're that way too - there is actually a rant in one of my many journal entries about the people who have screen names like "lower than dirt", "loser boy", etc.

I'll second and third that.

Your kink is awesome, but not for me.

I personally like having a strong, independant partner in kink. One who gives me the gift of their submission and pain, but who also has a day job. I work and go to school full-time, I don't have time to whip someone every hour of the day!

I hate to say it, but if I wanted total responsibility for another person, I'd have a child, not a 24/7 slave. Even if I'm screaming insults and in total topspace, I'm just not wired to be able to think of a sub as anything less than a thinking, feeling human being.

You beat me (no pun intended) to the punch! As I've posted elsewhere on these boards, there are no "it" people in Ti-Land.

Describe in your profile what you're seeking, but you would be better served to use everyday language when doing so. When you find someone who accepts your submission, if that person decides she wants you to be her "it" or refer to yourself only as "this slave" -- or whatever rocks her world -- then go nuts being "it" and "thing" and "this slave."

IMO women tend to seek a fully realized person as a sub, not guys who are simply an it.
