If a picture is rejected, the system automatically sends out a reason.  If you didn't see the reason (and I do not suggest it much trying to keep in mind the overloaded reviewers) submit it again and see what the reason is.  I guarantee the reason wasn't because of weight.

it could have been nothing more than the person who was reviewing pictures that day. It has been suggested to others before that they keep submitting the picture; it may be approved by another reviewer.

To the OP:

OK, color me confused ( not that that is not a regular occurence) Your picture # 3 shows your shoulders and you covered with a blanket.  The looks of it fit the description that you described.  I realize that you and Aswad might be upset if you thought you were being treated differently.  Is this the picture you have been saying is rejected? 

As far as the section it was moved to, I believe all discussions about the site are moved here since it is in no way a bdsm discussion, or political like the off topics tend to be.

Is this the picture? Enquiring minds would like to know[:D]

while I do not think it's discrimination against fat people, I do think what is ok varies from reviewer to reviewer. one might be more lax about the others than something. I have a picture they keep rejecting I am going to take one similar to it, exactly so with out bruises and try to post it an see if it's rejected too.

Even others that looked at your picture on this site said their opinions on that picture you were talking about.  Personally(and I am only guessing here) I would have thought that ok WITHOUT the bruises and red marks. I am not in the know though, so who knows.

That would be most unfortunate, though i absolutely understand your position. i don't remember ever seeing a public response to any request for clarification on moderator actions, though, so i wish you both luck in getting this resolved. Such requests seem to be rather randomly assigned to Off Topic or Random Stupidity, perhaps, again, based on who the person behind the Curtain is at the time.

Again, to the OP and Aswad, I might be mistaken, but the nephandi describes her picture that was supposedly rejected looks to be in her Number 3 position.....is that the picture that is upsetting her? I am asking sincerely, because it fits the description of what she said to a t.

No, it is not the picture in the #3 position, although I can certainly see how some would think it might be, from the description. The rejected picture was one wherein she was standing up. We'll see how submitting it anew works out, but petdave pretty much sums up a part of the problem. The site has outgrown the current model, it would appear.

I only have 3 pictures that were uploadable here. I had great pictures that did not successfully upload. Any other website, no problem. These pictures were all clothed and classy. Sometimes, I think the problem with the picture is this sites quirks wont upload it. I got no reason as to why. I wrote and asked and got no response. I gave up trying. But it had nothing to do with content, just quirks with incompatibility of my jpegs and this website.

Most places in the USA and the world discriminate against heavy or obese people. Look on TV, in magazines, billboard adds, commericals and even when they are advertising a diet product the people they have on there look like they don't need to lose any weight at all. So to answer your question yes they do discriminate.

Ive tried uploading every which way. Shrinking the size, reformatting. none from my new camera, expect one that was cropped very rectangularly would work. There are no other people and no nudity. A lttle cleavage, but thats it.

I am a LARGE WOMAN.  The only time I ever had a problem with a picture approval was when I inadvertently submitted one that was laying on its side. I have one where I am sitting in a Bra with my arms crossed in front of it, that is about as risque as I get.

i'm not sure that i'd go that far, but picture approval/denial, as far as inconsistent application of the published standards, comes up as a point of contention so often that i've wondered if the system is actually automated to some extent. i know that there was work a few years ago on applications that were supposed to provide Internet filtering/censorship based on an image analysis... Like software facial recognition, it was far, far from perfect, but it worked reasonably well under fixed circumstances. It's hard to imagine they have the staff to human-scan the volume of images this site must generate. Kinda explains the no-appeals policy as well, although then you'd think that would be encouraged for the purpose of improving heuristics... i dunno. Just tossing it out there. If so, a little playing with contrast, color levels, and sharpness could slide it through. Could be an interesting experiment. Or it could make them really cranky [:D]

i am surprised that the Administrative Announcements subforum isn't used as an interactive Forum Help subforum, though... between the photo disputes, the TOS technicality questions, the "oh noes this person sucks, can i have them kicked off", and, God help me, the ice cream cone, it might clean up communications a bit.

It's not that the model isn't a good one. One only has to look around to see it's a good site, as such.
It's that the site has grown to a point where that model isn't adequate anymore. Critical mass.

though the mods on this side will tell you differently, depending on the Mod you can have full body nudity or you can't even show cleavage....also it might have to do with if you were trying to make it your main picture....i don't know....but i have seen someone full frontal nudity, head to toe, and i have had a picture not approved that just showed cleaveage, then had it approved two days later...i don't know why....

Honestly, I think there are several different admins who approve or reject photos. And no clear cut policy. So it depends on who looked at it. You could send them a letter asking why it was refused, assuming it wasn't a bug during the recent site updating.

Um I do believe they discriminate based on whatever. I have had photos rejected and I am VERY MODEST for a fabu plus woman. Anyhow, they were all rejected, but when I showed a photos of just my legs...it was approved. So now, I have no photo. I do believe they discriminate because I have seen some horrid and I mean HORRID photos of people on their profiles and they should NOT be there.

All I can say to the OP if you feel uncomfortable than go but I would also like an explanation as well. Just like I notice racism is very HIGH in here, and people go along with it as if it is nothing. SO....I would like an explanation.
